Pretty Red Poppies

Hello, it is Shirley!

Today I have a card that I made with my favorite die and one of my very favorite color combinations. It is a fairly quick card to make and I thought you might enjoy seeing it.

I started my card using a black card base. I layered it with a white and red layer. The red layer was embossed with a Dots embossing folder.

I used my Sue Wilson California Collection - Beverly Hills die to cut the decorative white die cut. This really is my favorite die, because it always gives a card an elegant look no matter how easy a card may be to make. If you don't like a CAS look, you can dress it up for even more of a "Wow" effect.

My poppies were cut using the Memory Box Prim Poppy die. My black bow was made using the Sue Wilson Finishing Touches - Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow. I used my bow a little differently than it was made for. I used both of the tails for the ribbon to make my bow. Let me know what you think of using it this way?  In my opinion, it is not quite as pretty as using the puffy and full bow.

I attached all of the pieces of my card with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive. The final step to my card was adding White Pearls.

Thank you, for dropping by today. I hope to see you again soon.
