Poppy Fence

Greetings, friends. Mindy with you today to share a card I really love. I have always loved poppy flowers, and when I saw this framed Poppy by Stacy Stamps, I knew I had to purchase it.

To start my card, I stamped the design on watercolor paper and colored and shaded the design with watercolor markers.  While it was drying, I embossed a rectangle of metallic bronze card stock with the Daisy and Swirl Embossing Folder by Crafts Too! for the background. I then adhered a doily die before adhering the framed poppy picture on top, raised up with foam adhesive to give dimension.

To complete my card, I stamped a sentiment from the Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine by JustRite Stamps, a Medium Butterfly by Impression Obsession and a few sequins cut from the Sequins Die-Namics die from My Favorite Things.

Enjoy your week, and be sure to join us for our weekly card challenge on our blog.

Merry Christmas

Hello, today it's Joy with a card made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.  This afternoon I was invited to a last minute party and needed a Christmas card - quick, quick quick!  I was almost in a panic - but then I remembered that I had some left over components from Blueprints 4.  I keep all my left over components in a zip lock bag which makes it easy to make a quick card.

I stamped the Merry Christmas from Christmas Joy by Sweet 'n Sassy and heat embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle White Detail Embossing Powder then rounded the corners of the red card stock with the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. The pretty paper is from Believe by Authentique.   I have to say because the components were already cut out, this was one of the fastest cards I've ever made -- and I even made it to the party on time.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Day!

Winterberries tag

Hello!  Diana here today wishing you a very Merry Christmas.  I hope you have all your gifts wrapped and ready, that you arrive at your destination safely, or if you're hosting - you're done cleaning and prepping so that you can enjoy Christmas with family and friends.  One last tag to share with you today - it would work well as a Christmas tag (if you're in need of one in these last moments) or you can stick in on a card and send it anytime during the winter.

The tag has lots of pretty details but it didn't take long to put together.  I used a My Favorite Things cross-stitch die for the base of the tag, a circle punch and the stitched circle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 for the tag element where I could attach the ribbons.  I sponged all of it along the edges with Broken China and then stenciled some snowflakes using  Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes Stencil,  Dreamweaver's white embossing paste, and a palette knife. It's hard to see in the photograph but it adds some lovely and subtle texture.

While the paste was drying, I die cut the new PoppyStamps Holiday Winterberries out of watercolor paper and colored it with watercolor brush pens. I then it adhered it to the tag
with Art Institute glue, added some ribbon, and I was done!

Merry Christmas!
And a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Classy Cards 'n Such!!!

Tag, You're It!

Hello! Diana here to share with you some very quick and easy tags for all those gifts under your tree! I made a bunch of these very quickly because I kept them simple. The first thing I did was die-cut my rectangles out of some cross-stitched rectangle dies but any tag or regular rectangle dies would work (i.e. Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A or the Elizabeth Craft Designs Tags).

I then used the small stitched circle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 on white card stock where I glued the little darling die cuts from Impression Obsession Christmas Icons. I left the fishtail banner blank for my "To" and "From" and then popped up with small Joy! foam pads a Christmas greeting from Sweet 'n Sassy Christmas Joy that was done with black detail embossing powder. I then punched a hole at the top to thread through some ribbon.

They were so fun and easy to make - I even used one on top of one of my envelope gift boxes without the ribbon.  Enjoy creating for all the loved ones in your life!

From Our House to Yours

Happy Holidays Everyone!  Mindy with you today sharing a card that could be used for the holidays, bringing wishes and love from our home to yours during this festive season.

I started with a background that I cut from the Blueprints 13 Die-namics from My FavoriteThings and then ran through my Cuttlebug with the Dots Embossing Folder from Crafts Too. I then started "building" my home with the new Brick House die cut from Impression Obsession.  All of the elements from one pass of the die were used on this card, including one extra window.  I also cut a strip of the Grass Border from Impression Obsession to ground the house to the card.  The extra decorative bead board was used as a corner element and a baby pearl was used to accent it.

To complete my card, I cut a banner strip and stamped a home themed sentiment to place on the front of the card, and cut the Merry Christmas die, also from Impression Obsession, to place on the inside of the card. Happy Holidays to one and all, from me to you!

Sending Warm Hugs

Hello! Diana here and I am just loving this cute little PoppyStamps Stacked Mittens die. I wanted a soft card so I went for some light sponging with Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, and Picked Raspberry along one side of a stitched rectangle made with My Favorite Things' Blueprints 13

I then glued several layers of the Stacked Mittens and added a couple of fish tail banners with a sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps For the Birds done with Silver Detail embossing powder.

For a final touch, I added a bit of bling using sequins. Hope you like it!

Tis The Season

Hi, it is Shirley posting today.   I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I am hoping to get my cards done so I can get them in the mail soon.

I started my card with a red card base and added a silver layer over it.  I embossed snowflakes on a white piece of card stock.

I used a stamp by Flourishes in the Holiday Topiaries set to stamp the "Tis The Season" on the upper corner of the white card stock.

Next I used the Memory Box Precious Mittens die to cut four red mittens with silver cuffs.  The little snowflakes on the front of the mittens were made using the Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set.  I attached them to red twine with bows that goes across the card.

I cut three Memory Box Rizza Snowflakes.  I layered a silver snowflake under the white one.   I used the red one for the flake in the center of the white snowflake.

For the final touch to my card I added Silver Rhinestones and red sequins. You could also use the My Favorite Things Sequins die to make your own sequins.

Thanks for taking a look at my card today and have a great week.
