Pennington Wedding

Hello!  Diana here to share with you a wedding card I made for this week's Autumn Wedding #101 challenge. I was inspired by the colors in the middle picture, and I thought it would be great to just have the word love for the card.

The roses are the Memory Box Pennington Rose, above parts of the Open Scroll Leaf by Impression Obsession, and Memory Box Bamboo Shoots.

The lacy background is the large die in the  Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight.

I also added some self adhesive White Baby Pearls, under the back of Spellbinders Metal Crafts Foil. I die cut the word "Love" by Penny Black, as well as adding some oval shaped pearls in the corner with the Ice White Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Winter Scene

Hello, it's Gracie and today I want to share a clean and simple card with you, that I made for this week's challenge #68 at Classy Cards 'n Such - Winter Birds.

To make my card, first I die cut a card base with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. I created a scene on the actual card front with Penny Black's Tweet Tweet stamp set. I used a purple ink pad for the lilac branches and heat embossed the bird on the branch with Gold detail embossing powder from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. I also heat embossed a wonderful sentiment.

As you can see I sprayed the card with lilac and gold. The lilac drops and sprays were done with a DIY Distress Ink spray I made using Shaded Lilac Re-Inker and water mixed in an empty Spritzer Bottle. I also used Inka Gold in Yellow Gold mixed with water, which I applied tapping a brush. Yes, it is a bit of a mixed media card! I want to point out that I used a mask to keep the sprays and stamps within the frame shape.

I die cut a window to create a frame with Labels Twenty-Five, one of my favorite classic label shapes from Spellbinders. The label was cut from a pierced matting layer die cut with Our Daily Bread Designs Flourish Star Pattern set. I adhered the frame to the stamped card base with double pieces of mounting tape to give extra dimension to it.

I finished my clean design with three Baby Rhinestones - Silver and a piece of gold cording. I didn't want to add a regular bow to the card so I created a nice flow, threading the gold cording through the frame and adhering it with a tiny drop of silicone glue.

Wedding Wishes

Hi friends, it's Jenny posting today, with a card I created for a friend's wedding.

I love the white on white look for cards it always feels so crisp and fresh.  I recently put together a fall card with a similar design and I decided to recreate it in white.

I first used the Spellbinders die that is similar to Spellbinders Botanical Swirls and Accents for two opposite sides of the 5.5 x 5.5 inch square front panel.  The card stock is white with a beautiful shimmer.  

I cut flowers out of this new Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms die. I used both of my McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kits to form the flowers. For the largest flower I used all of the die cuts, and for the smaller flowers I used multiples of the smaller die cuts. I glued the layers together, and also used the glue on the flat-back Pearls in the flower centers. I adhered the flowers to the card using Joy! Foam Pads.  

The leaves are from a Cheery Lynn Designs die that's no longer in stock at Classy Cards 'n Such, but there are many beautiful Cheery Lynn dies still available. 

The Congrats word is a Penny Black die.  All of the details were cut using the same shimmery card stock.

Summer Sunflowers

Hello! It's Gracie. Welcome to my challenge post for Classy Cards 'n Such. This week we have a great inspiration photo! Our cards have to be Sunflower Inspired.

These are truly bright summer colors in an unusual combination, at least for me. I decided to emphasize on the sunflower theme adding accents of red and green around my central image.

I stamped a bunch of sunflowers with Penny Black Flower Gallery stamp set. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. Some of the flowers were stamped on a Spellbinders Classic Label Four, and some were fussy cut and adhered to the label afterwards. I applied Inka Gold -  Yellow Gold to the sunflowers to give them a nice shimmer. I added Silver Baby Rhinestones to the center of the flowers too.

I mounted the white label on a green metallic card stock, using Spellbinders Imperial Gold Label Four. That was mounted onto a Spellbinders Classic Label Four cut from red card stock.

For the front of my card I added a piece of patterned paper I printed on White Pearl Linen. I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A to cut the patterned layer. 

I created a nice border with Spellbinders Classic Edges Two and Classic Decorative Inserts Three. To finish the design I ran across a piece of red ribbon, (slightly to the left), and tied a double bow.
