Victory in Jesus!!!

Hi everyone! It's Jennipher with a new card to share!

Today's card has a subtle patriotic flare to it. I used some of the wonderful designer paper from the Webster's Pages Spring Market, Yacht Club & Country Estate Collection Combo Pack. I started with a 5.25" square card base. I distressed the edges of the star patterned paper and adhered them to the base. On the other side of the beautiful star patterned paper is the wonderful pattern that I layered on top of it. I just love how it was designed like note paper. It made the perfect background for stamping my Scripture.

From that same collection of paper, I cut out a small square and rounded the corners of it. I layered this on top of the base layers. Once I had that placed, I used the Finesse Swirl Silver Rhinestones from Want2Scrap as a border across the bottom.

For a finishing touch, I added a Prima Ceylon Flower in White Wedding in the middle of the Finesse Swirl. These are just gorgeous. They are elegant "linen-look" fabric flowers with a jewel box center that consists of a mixture of beads and pearls. They make the perfect embellishment for any classy card and they are also available in a "Garden" collection which are lovely pastel shades.

Country Love!!

Howdy folks!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing some Country Love with y'all today!

When I saw this stamp in the Classy Cards 'n Such store, I had to get it right away.  I'm giving this card to my sweet hubby for our anniversary.  :-)  I've used my brand new Distress Markers to color this in on watercolor paper - so fun and so easy!  Since this is going to a man, I didn't add any flowers or ribbons or flourishes.  I kept it simple with distressed edges and some linen thread.

It's really easy to use the markers.  Stamp your image with waterproof ink onto watercolor paper and let it dry completely.  Add a tiny bit of color with a Distress Ink Marker and then use a water brush to drag the ink around to color in the image.  Add more color with markers as needed.  Let the image dry completely before cutting and adhering to your project.  The brush tip on these distress ink markers is really fine and it actually gets into those tiny little spaces like you see in my card above.

I've used the following products on my card:

With Love stamp set (Stampavie)

If you're on a budget and you want the Distress Ink Markers, check out the Distress Ink Marker Club!  This is a fabulous way to get all of these awesome markers without breaking your budget!
Holly is right!  The Distress Ink Markers are fun and easy with GREAT results!   Order yours today!

Tim Holtz water brushes are now available in the Classy Cards shop!   There is a Detailer Nib and a Broad Brush Nib.  The Detailer Nib is great for smaller spaces and the Broad Brush is wonderful for backgrounds and larger spaces.  So cool!!

A Cupboard Full of Surprises

Hi folks!  It's Holly posting today, and I've got a fun card to share with you.  The products from Classy Cards 'n Such that I used today are:

Happy Birthday (Stampavie) - the little flower stamped in the background (yellow card base)
Olive Branches (Cheery Lynn Designs)
Miniature Rose (Cheery Lynn Designs)
Medium Rose (Cheery Lynn Designs)

Isn't that CUTE????  Those mice are so adorable!  I stamped the Cupboard image with black ink and then colored the image with Copic markers.  I cut some white cardstock slightly larger than the image and sponged blue ink around the edges.  The Cupboard image was adhered to the blue-sponged cardstock.  I stamped the tiny flower image from the Happy Birthday set with yellow ink onto the yellow card base (5.5" x 4.25").  The Cupboard image was adhered to the yellow card base.

I die cut some Olive Branches and glued those down on opposing corners.  I cut some flowers from blue cardstock.  Each flower has four layers of petals glued together.  I used the Distressed Fuzz technique from Technique Junkies to add some white fuzz to the centers and then I fluffed up the petals with my fingers.
Love those cute mice!!!  Thanks, Holly!

Please take a few minutes and share your creations using GLITTER in our GLITTER challenge here.   You just might be the winner of a $10 Gift Certificate to the Classy Cards shop!  All of the details are here.

Japanese Garden Lace Oval with Ribbon Roses

Recently, I needed a special card for a special friend.   I started with a 5 1/2" x 5" card base made from Pearlized Esse White Metallic.  I hope you can see the subtle texture and sheen in the close-up below.   So gorgeous!

I cut the Japanese Garden Lace Oval from Stardream Rose Quartz.  I adhered the Japanese Oval to the card base with a Quickie Glue Pen.  The Japanese Oval has no place for solid adhesives with all of those delicate loops, so a Quickie Glue Pen was just the right choice!

The oval in the center was cut from Cryogen White and mounted with foam pads for dimension.  I added a little bouquet of the shabby chic Purple Ribbon Roses and Tropical Leaves cut from Stardream Emerald cardstock.   The Tropical Leaves set from Cheery Lynn has five different leaves, each of a different type and size!   Perfect for little bouquets like this one!!

I dotted the flower centers with Viva Decor Pearl Pen - Yellow  and added the Gothic corners for a final classy touch!

I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Linda's Glittery Daisies

Hello, everyone!  This is Linda and today Beverly is posting my challenge card for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge #10 - Glitter.

I started by cutting a rectangle from Cryogen White Paper  using the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle.  On top of this, I placed this georgous Daisies Outline Sticker from Starform.

I used my Quickie Glue Pen to apply the glue to the individual flower petals.  I applied the glue to only a few flowers at a time so that it would not dry too quickly as I worked my way around the sticker.  I applied Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Chantilly glitter to the flowers and Meadow Spark glitter to the leaves.  I dumped the glitter off my card into a coffee filter.  Doing this makes it so easy to pour the glitter back into even the smallest container!  I placed a gold pearl in the center of each flower.  The vase was colored with Twinkling H2O's.

The card mat was made from paper I had in my collection and adhered to the card base with Scor-Tape.   The lace is White Cluny Lace from the Classy Cards 'n Such shop.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is also one of the Outline Stickers Beverly has in the shop.

This is a wonderful example of how easy glitter is to use and how much it adds to your cards or projects!  Thanks, Linda!!

A Glittery Butterfly from Holly

It's Holly posting today.  Have you played in the latest challenge - Glitter?  I love glitter!  There are many beautiful colors in the Classy Cards 'n Such store, and I bought every single one of them!  LOL   On this card, I kept it clean and simple and just used one color of glitter - Crystal Ice.  This is gorgeous on white cardstock, and it's sheer enough that you can use it on colored cardstock as well.

For this card, I used the following products:
Celebrate stamp set (Stampavie)
Lacey Circles (Spellbinders)
Exotic Butterfly Small #2 (Cheery Lynn Designs)
Angel Wing, Small #2 (Cheery Lynn Designs)
I cut out the butterfly from white cardstock and used the Glitter Roll technique from Technique Junkies to adhere the Crystal Ice glitter.  The matching angel wing was cut from blue cardstock and adhered to the white butterfly.  I cut out a circle from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment with blue ink at the bottom of the circle.  I adhered that to a Lacey Circle that was cut from blue cardstock.

The background is embossed with the Flower Flourish embossing folder and I folded a strip of the gorgeous ribbon over the top before adhering it to a blue card base.  I cut the end of the ribbon in a fishtail look, and I adhered the circles over the ribbon with some Joy foam pads.  I used some more foam pads to adhere the butterfly above the sentiment.  I purposely placed the butterfly at an angle so it looks like it is in flight.  :-)
Holly's card is one of those go-to cards for a quick, easy and classy card for any occasion!   AND...embossing folders are on sale this week through Friday!   Enter promos code EF15 (all caps, no spaces) at checkout for 15% off all embossing folders.   You can see them all here.

Whatever you ask...

Hi everyone!   This is Jennipher posting today.   My card today was inspired by the power of prayer.  My Mom was recently given some bad news and had to undergo some medical testing. There were lots of people praying for her and just like the Scripture says "we believed and received" good news! So I made this card to celebrate the good news and to have on hand to send to someone else in their time of need.

I started my card with a 5x5 base of Emerald cardstock. To that, I added a layer of designer paper from the Laced with Grace Collection by Glitz Designs. I just love this line of paper!

I stamped my Scripture on a rectangle of white cardstock and inked the edges with Distress Inks. I had to mix two colors together to get the shade I wanted.

Using the Lace Corner Deco dies from Cheery Lynn Designs, I cut out two white lacy corners and added them to opposite corners. I used the Lace Corner Deco E collection and this was my first time using them. I really like them and you get three different designs in a package. It's a great deal!

For finishing touches I added a Calcutta Mini in Willow which is a perfect match with the Emerald cardstock. The card ended up being a clean and simple design with the focus on the scripture, which I feel is appropriate.

To all those people out there who prayed for my Mom, THANK YOU!

Thanks for a beautiful card, Jenn!   I'm so glad your mom is better!!

And now, here's Holly's card...

Hi folks!  Have you played in the latest challenge here on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog?  I love glitter, and it's so much fun to add that extra little sparkle to a card or project with some glitter.  I decided to think outside the box and do something a little different for this glitter challenge.

See the fun banners?  I actually used one of the dies in the Classy Cards 'n Such store.  At first glance, you are thinking there's no such die there.  Actually, by thinking outside the box, you'll find multiple uses for your dies.  For my banner, I used the Lace Light Deco Border and cut it out several times.  I set aside the "border" die cut for another use later on.  Looking at the piece that is leftover from cutting, you can see the banner shape in the picture below.

That's the piece that I used for my card here.  Pretty cool, huh??  I used the Glitter Roll technique from Technique Junkies and adhered three different colors of glitter to three strips of the banner "die cut."  Then I arranged the banners on my card layer and glued them down, letting the strips hang over the edges.  I used scissors to cut off the excess glittered banners, and I stamped the sentiment at the bottom.  This piece was adhered to a turquoise card base that is 5.5"x4.25" (A2 size).

The following products that I've used can be found in the Classy Cards 'n Such store:

Lace Light Deco Border (Cheery Lynn Designs die)
   Sweet Wishes stamp set (Stampavie)
There are lots of beautiful colors of glitter in the store.  If you are a glitter lover like me, you'll want to own every single one of them!  :-)  Play along in this fun challenge and you'll have a chance to win a fun shopping spree and stock up on more glitters!

Rose Birthday Card

I made this card for a challenge using aqua, red and white for our monthly card club.   Aqua seems pretty popular right now!   This is another out-of-my-box color combo, but I like the way it turned out.   This card ultimately became a birthday card, but could certainly be used for a lot of occasions!

I started with a white card base and layered an aqua mat, topped with a white layer.   I cut a Swedish Spring Oval Frame out of aqua.   This frame is so delicately detailed and was perfect for the roses from the With Sympathy set.  I did have to mask off  some of the foliage on the upper portion of the roses to get them to fit properly on the oval cut from watercolor paper. I just put small pieces of Post-It notes over the parts I didn't want to stamp before I inked the image and then removed before stamping the image.  It was either that or fussy cut around them and some had pieces that were too small for that!

I colored the roses with my Distress Ink Markers using a small paintbrush dipped in water.  I colored these before the Detailer Brush Nib waterbrushes arrived.  More about those in a later post.  I got an added benefit from using the paintbrush as I used water that I had previously used for Twinkling H20 coloring and got a nice, subtle sparkle on the image!  I sponged Old Paper Distress Ink around the edges of the roses while they were still in the Spellbinders die cut.  Hint:  If you don't have the Distress Ink pad of choice, you can always use a Distress Ink marker.   Just spread a small amount on your craft mat with the brush tip and pick it up with a sponge to apply.

I added a couple of corners cut from aqua from the Lace Deco Corners I, but I trimmed each one just a bit on the lower corners.   I finished the card by adding Baby White Pearls in the centers of the flowers on the edge of the Swedish Spring Oval Frame.

And there you have it!  A quick, classy card for a birthday, get well, sympathy, thinking of you...whatever kind of card you need for a special person!

There is still time for you to enter our current challenge using AQUA, ORANGE, and YELLOW!   Please join us by submitting your creation via the InLinkz tool at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Until next time...
