Life Is A Song

Hi there, Diane here today!

I have been in a bright and cheerful colors mood lately. Maybe it is all the rain we are having and I need brightening up!!

I made a square 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" card, a bit smaller then my usual. It may be small, but it packs a punch I think!

I cut out a Spellbinders Exquisite Circle die. Using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Brown Fizz embossing powder and Versamark ink, I embossed Inky Antics Songbird. I wish you could see the sheen, it is so pretty!

I sponged Distress inks over the embossed image using Mini Ink Blending Tool. I simply wiped off the image with a paper towel once I was done sponging.

I cut a Spellbinders Cattails die, then lightly coated the ends with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Sparkling Sands Flocking.

I created my flower using the beautiful papers by Ken Oliver Watercolored Memories 6 x 6 paper pad, and Sue Wilson Delicate Daisies Complete Petals. The center of the flower is Red Rock Candy.

The sentiment is also from the Songbird stamp set.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

My Cup Runneth Over

It is Shirley posting today!  I made a card for our Classy Cards 'n Such Loves Me, Loves Me Not challenge this week. I hope you take a look at our Inspiration picture and join us for our challenge.

I started my card with a white card base and  layered it with  black card stock. Next, I used blue card stock to cut an overlay, using the Couture Creations Tied Together die. I used a white piece of card stock to put behind the Tied Together die cut.

I used the Inky Antics Daisy Bouquets to stamp my image on white card stock. The images are colored with markers.

Various circle dies were used to cut the image out, as well as the layers behind it.

I found this black striped ribbon to add to my card. For the finishing touch I used three Silver Rhinestones.  I put my card together using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

Thank you for visiting today.  See you again soon.

Springtime

Hello classy friends, Diane with you today!

Spring is finally in the air and Spring flowers are popping up everywhere. Which brings me to my card I want to share with you today.

Nothing better than a fresh, bright pot of Daffodils to make the day go better! I started with a stamp from Inky Antics Spring Blooms set, coloring in with my Copics. After coloring, I cut the image using a die from the
Sue Wilson  Kefalonia - Greek Island Collection die set.

This was mounted on my designer paper from my own stash using Scor-tape 1/2". A delicate bow was added, also a Sue Wilson die Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow.

To finish I added a sentiment from the same Spring Blooms set, which I embossed first by running my Anti-static Bag  over the cardstock, then heat setting with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Black Fine Detail embossing powder. The sentiment was then popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Small .

Make sure to enter our Simply Yellow challenge this week. It closes at midnight tonight and a fabulous prize is given out to one lucky entrant!!

Happy Daisies

Hi, it's Jenny today with a card for the Simply Yellow challenge.  I hope you can join in this week!

I cut the Spellbinders A2 Devine Eloquence die from white card stock, and sponged yellow and blue distress ink on it.  It was glued to a gray piece of paper and then attached to an A2 size card.

The main panel was stamped on an Elegant Oval die, with an Inky Antics stamp from my stash and colored with copics. Classy Cards no longer carries this stamp but does have a number of other adorable Inky Antics stamps currently in stock. (There is also a very pretty watering can set by Heartfelt Creations. Just click on the link below). I glued Baby Red Rhinestones to the centers of a few of the flowers and painted all the flowers with a Wink of Stella pen for sparkle.

After the main image was complete I used the Spellbinders  Elegant Oval as a stencil and sponged more yellow distress ink around the image with a Mini Ink Blending Tool.

Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing your challenge entries this week!

God is a Fortress

Hello friends.  Joy here today showing you a card I made to encourage a friend who had a tough day.  I found all the supplies to make this card at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

First thing was to water color - using water mixed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and water colors.   I love the little shiny/glitter it gives to water colors. When it was dry, I used the stitched rectangle in the Blueprints 13 Die Set by My Favorite Things. I used the stitch line in the die set to make it a square.

The sentiment is from Inky Antics called Mighty Tower.  The brick colored paper is from a 6x6 pad called Key To My Heart from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a Happy stamping day!

Don't forget, there is still time to enter this week's drawing. Just click on the Current Challenge tab on the right side of the blog for the rules. Come on, its fun and there is always a nice prize!
