Thankful

Hi, Diane with you today.

Our challenge for this week is Thankful. November is the perfect time of the year to look back and be thankful for all we have, and I don't mean material things either. I mean family, loved ones, our health and to be able to live as we do, so very thankful for that!!

I love the elegance of this card. I started by cutting 2 of the Impression Obsession Twig Wreath. One from Super Gold Metallic card stock, and one from Echo Bronze Stardream Metallic, I slightly offset one from the other.

A bow was cut from the same paper I used for the sides,
using the Sue Wilson - Finishing Touches Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow.

The sentiment was stamped from JustRite Thank You Daffodil set. I paper pierced around the punched oval with Crafters Tool's by Cheery Lynn Designs. I also used these tools to help with poking out the intricate design of the bow.

To finish Le Creme Pearls were added.

Thank you for visiting with me today.

Birthday Wishes

Hi, Diane with you today. You have been seeing lots of holiday cards lately I am sure, so today I have something a little bit ordinary to share.

I had some pretty paper I thought a little bit trendy, and decided to build my card on that.

After adhering my base paper, I added a pretty edger at the top using Impression Obsession Border Duo #1. White Pearls were added to each scallop.

I have a real fondness for lattice dies, and Bille's Circle is a gorgeous lattice die, and a perfect place to add my flowers to. It was cut from Stardream Rose Quartz Metallic paper.

Flowers from my own supplies were added, along with tucked in leaves from Spellbinders Romantic Blooms One die set. These are so pretty, as they have so much detail!

Butterflies were made using Bluebell Stardream Metallic paper, and Joy! Crafts  Fantasy Butterflies Die.

To finish I added a bow made from a snippet of ribbon I had left, stamped a sentiment, and a few more White Pearls were added.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Brrr.. it's cold outside

Hello friends! It's Diana today. Is it chilly where you are yet?

I made another card with the adorable PoppyStamps Stacked Mittens die.

I started with a red and Kraft color scheme, and the MFT Blueprints 13 die set.

After I die cut the Stacked Mittens out of the watercolor sheet used for the fishtail banner, I carefully removed the mittens with all the little pieces.

I then sponged Broken China on the fishtail banner. I also splattered some more stain around the banner. Once that was dried, I glued the mittens back in with all the pieces. I then used a watercolor brush to color the little pieces.

I added a bit of twine to a double row hole strip from MFT Blueprints 15, and added some strong 1/2" Scor-Tape to make sure it would stay. Because that made it a bit bulky, I popped up the top banner with some Large Foam Tabs.

Christmas Joy

Hi, Diane with you today, with my card for this weeks challenge Mittens and/or Stockings with a touch of green.

I started my card with a round white card stock base, topped with a Spellbinders Heart Circle die cut from Stardream Jupiter Metallic paper. I thought this die would work cute with the little hearts in the mittens!

A few Impression Obsession Pine Branches were added to the top, along with a bow, and a jingle bell tied with Doodle Red Twine.

For the mittens I used PoppyStamps Stacked Mittens die,
cut from Pearlized Esse White Metallic paper. I cut the die twice and paper pieced red in here and there. I also cut the die from a white craft foam to give dimension.

Tiny Red Pearls were added to the flowers on two of the mittens.

A little die cut "Joy" was added for the sentiment!
