Butterfly Trio

It's Holly posting today, and I've been in a butterfly mood.  I created this Butterfly Trio using several products from Classy Cards 'n Such:

I die cut all the butterflies from vanilla cardstock, and then I sponged them with a touch of Antique Linen distress ink to give them a subtle aged look.  Then I die cut all the angel wings from rose cardstock and I sprayed them with a homemade shimmer spray (That Shimmering Touch technique from Technique Junkies).  You can see the shimmer on the rose angel wings through the holes in the butterfly wings.

I cut a strip of sage designer paper and adhered the Ecru Delight lace on both sides before adhering the designer paper to some artichoke cardstock.  I glued down the butterflies to the center of the designer paper and then adhered the whole thing to an ivory card base.  I can stamp any sentiment on the inside of this card - birthday, thank you, get well, congratulations, and even a sympathy sentiment would be wonderful with this.

What a cute card, Holly!   Quick and easy too!!  What more could you ask???

Floral Friendship

Hello everyone!  It's Jennipher and I'm back with a 3D Floral Friendship card. If you've not tried any of the 3D art that Beverly has in the store, you really should. The flowers are a cinch to put together and the pieces are numbered.

I chose to work with the 3D Die Cut - Red Roses. The die cut sheet comes with three different roses for you to assemble. Today I worked with the one on the lower portion of the sheet.

I started with a 4.25x5.5 base of Azalea cardstock. This is a gorgeous shimmery pink/rose color and it reminds me of the blooms my Mom would get on her azalea bushes when I was a child. Next, I added a Fanciful Flourish cut out of Chiara Coral cardstock. This is the most beautiful pale pink with a lovely shimmer. Then, I begin to build my rose on top of the flourish. I used large and small Joy! foam pads to adhere the different pieces.

For finishing touches, I die-cut a Sizzix label and stamped my sentiment on it. I added liquid pearls in Rouge around the label for some added pop.

This card came together quickly and easily and it's all because of that fabulous 3D Art!  Give it a try. You won't regret it!

Supplies:
Azalea cardstock
Chiara Coral cardstock
Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish

3D Art Red Roses

Joy! foam pads large
Joy! foam pads small

I love making these 3D images!   So fun!!!!

Wonderful Wings

Do you ever need a quick and classy card?   Here's one example!

I started with a white card base.  The navy mat went perfectly with the top layer which is one of the gorgeous papers from the Vintage Blue 6 x 6 paper pad from Glitz Designs.  This particular sheet already had a wonderful bouquet in the corner, so I just cut out the section I wanted so that the bouquet would fit nicely in the lower right corner.

I matted the the Vintage Blue sheet on navy cardstock and created a frame with silver outline stickers.  I think these border stickers just add a special touch, don't you??

Next, I selected a butterfly from the Wonderful Wings set by Want2Scrap.  These are self-adhesive and very easy to use! I attached the butterfly to a piece of vellum and then cut out around it and adhered it to the patterned paper.  The vellum just makes the butterfly pop!   I added a piece of Silver Rhinestones Finesse Swirls for the butterfly's trail.

Finally, I added a Lace Corner Deco E cut from navy cardstock in the upper left corner for an added accent and balance.

The Cheery Lynn August release did arrive yesterday!   I can't wait to play!!  I have very limited quantities of some items and as I mentioned yesterday, some have already sold out!   I should have a new shipment in within a week or so.  Ordering your favorites now is a great idea!!!   You can see all of the Cheery Lynn die cuts here.

Linda's Hedgehog with Umbrella!!!

Hello, everyone.  It's Linda posting a card using the Hedgehog with Umbrella stamp from Stampavie.  As all of you who follow the blog know, we have been highlighting the Stampavie stamps from the Classy Cards 'n Such shop on the blog throughout the month of August, and Beverly has a wonderful sale going on in conjunction with that.

For my card, I stamped the Hedgehog with Umbrella with black ink and colored him with Prismacolor pencils.  You could certainly use any other coloring medium you like such as the Tim Holtz Distress Markers Beverly has in the shop.  I die cut  the stamp using the Spellbinders Deckled Edge Classic Oval die.  I did ink around the edges of the stamp before I removed it from the die.

To assemble the card, I cut a base from Stardream Fuse Vista paper and added some light blue striped paper from my stash.  This was adhered using Scor-Tape.  I used the Cheery Lynn Designs Italian Flourish Doily Die, also cut from the Stardream Fuse Vista paper,  to create a backdrop for the  cute little Hedgehog stamp.  I used the Quickie Glue Pen to glue the Italian Flourish to the card.  I really like using these pens when you need to glue very small parts of a die cut to your card.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed with detail embossing powder onto a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die.   I added a little bling using the Want2Scrap Steel Blue Pearls.

Remember!!  The sale on the Stampavie stamps will only last through August 31,  so hurry and order your favorites from the great selection in the Classy Cards 'n Such shop!

Thanks, Linda!  Spellbinders are 15% off, too, through August 15th!   You can see all of the details here about both sales.

The new Cheery Lynn release should arrive today, so check back later this afternoon on the Classy Cards website here!  Some of the pre-ordered items have already sold out, but never fear!  I'll be ordering more this weekend, so order yours now before the next order runs out!

Pink Sofia

Hello, it's Holly posting today.  Have you been checking out all the Stampavie stamps that are on sale this month?  I've been sharing lots of cards with Stampavie images the past few weeks, and here's another one.  My favorite Stampavies are the Sarah Kay images, and I have colored this one with Pretty In Pink shades.
This Sofia Wishes image is colored with Copic markers, and then I cut it out with an oval die.  The background paper is from The Lake House pad (KaiserCraft) and I've used a Curled Corner technique from Technique Junkies on the upper left corner.  There is some Chalk White seam binding tied around the base of the card, and I've used the reverse side of the cardstock that was left from cutting an Anastasia border (Cheery Lynn Designs die).  I picked some cardstock in shades that would complement my patterned paper as well as my colored image, and then I used the Cuties 3 die to cut some flowers.  Once I got the flowers rolled up, I adhered them on top of some leaves that I cut from the Flourish Leaf Strip

You still have several days left to take advantage of the fabulous sale on ALL of the Stampavie stamps.  Some are in very short supply, so grab them now while you
can.  :-)
Holly is right!  The Stampavie sale of 15% off ends August 31st.   Just enter coupon code STAMPAVIE (all caps) at checkout in the Classy Cards shop!

Henri playing with turtles Bubba and Milo

Hi everyone!!   I made this little card for my great-nephew's second birthday a few months ago.  It has a very different look from the card Holly posted a few days ago, so I thought I would share it to show another way this stamp can be used.

I stamped Henri playing with turtles Bubba and Milo in black ink and colored with Copics.  I also colored the debossed edge of the die.   I cut the image out using   Spellbinders Large Deckled Mega Rectangles.  Both the green card base and patterned paper are from my stash.

I used foam pads for some added dimension. The gold outline stickers and the chain border are both from the Fine Chains and Borders outline sticker sheet.  Butterflies are from my stash and are colored with a Gelly Roll Stardust Clear Pen to add a little sparkle for the finishing touch!

Henri is adorable and works on cards for little kids or big kids!

Romantical Jack and Ginger

Hi Classy Card makers!  It's Holly posting today, and I've got this "romantical" card to share with you.  Romantical, for those of you who watch the Food Network, is from the Paula Deen dictionary.  Hee hee hee!

We are showcasing the stamps from the Stampavie line this month, and as a result, all of these stamps are on sale.  Now's the time to stock up on those Stampavie's you've had on your wish list!  :-)

I stamped Jack and Ginger on watercolor paper and then colored it with the wonderful Distress Ink Markers and the Tim Holtz Water Brush - Detailer Brush Nib. I used the following colors of markers:

Tattered Rose - skin
Victorian Velvet - flowers,  lady's skirt and hat
Antique Linen - lady's cardigan and shoes
Peeled Paint - leaves and stems of flowers
Frayed Burlap - lady's purse, man's jacket, belt, and shoes, ground
Pumice Stone - hair
Stormy Sky - man's jeans

For my card base, I cut some brown cardstock to a 5.25" square.  I die cut the Anastasia border from blue patterned paper and adhered that to the left side with some more patterned papers.  The Polynesian Sails Oval die is actually two dies in one - you get the delicate oval die cut as well as a sweet little doily from the center of it. The doily is die cut from white cardstock and then sponged with Stormy Sky and Antique Linen distress inks.  The pink textured panel at the bottom is a Watercolor Distress technique (from Technique Junkies) that I created with  Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, and Victorian Velvet distress inks.  I used the Flower Flourish embossing folder to give this piece some texture, and I lightly sponged some brown ink so you can see the raised shapes better.  A sweet little Decorative Corner die cut at the bottom is all I needed to finish this card.

Don't forget - all the Stampavie stamps are on sale this month.  Keep on checking back for more artwork featuring these adorable stamps.  :-)
Holly is right!   This is a great time to stock up on the Stampavie stamps.  They are all 15% off through the end of August when you enter coupon code STAMPAVIE  (all caps) at checkout.

Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads and Re-inkers are 15% off through Friday, August 24th.   Enter coupon code INK15%OFF (all caps, no spaces) at checkout.

A new PIA card!!

Hey everyone, this is Donna. I’m posting one of my favorite types of card today. I absolutely love the stamp collection by Stampavie and will definitely be using more of their stamps in the future!
This is a 4 ¼" X 5 ½" card made with white cardstock.  I used the lavender cardstock with a nice pearl sheen in the Daisy and Swirl embossing folder to give it a fabulous background. The purple patterned paper and “Pia” are cut out using the Spellbinders Small Deckled Rectangles to give the paper a tattered looking edge.
Pia and her cute little doll were colored using Prisma colored pencils. I used purple as the main color and added a little pink as an accent. At the bottom of the card I used lace with bows and made a military chain out of small purple ribbon to finish off the edge of the lace. The striped ribbon was tied using the Bow Easy bowmaker (my favorite since I can never seem to tie a good looking bow!).
The olive green pearls give the card a nice finishing touch and a good pop of color. Thanks for checking out my card and I hope this inspires you to create something unique of your own. This is the first one I’ve made to post and it was such fun! I look forward to sharing many more of my cards and ideas with you.

Thanks, Donna!!!   You may recognize some of the same supplies I used in the Pia card posted here.   Donna and I were given the same basic supplies to create a challenge card.   It's always fun to see how differently the cards turn out even with the same supplies!

Really cute Mouse with Sunflower!!!

Hi folks!  It's Holly posting today, and I've got another cute Stampavie creation to share with you.  All of the Stampavie stamps are on sale at Classy Cards 'n Such this month, and I've had so much fun coloring up these adorable images.  Today, I've colored the Mouse with Sunflower stamp with Copic markers.  Can you see the texture on the mouse?  I used a Copic Texturizing Technique from Technique Junkies to give him that "furry" look.  I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate set from Stampavie, and the ribbon is the Chalk White seam binding.   The fancy border on the left side is the Anastasia border die (Cheery Lynn Designs).

Isn't that sweet?  There is a very limited number of these Mouse with Sunflower stamps left in the store, so hurry up and grab it before it's gone.  :-)

Henri with his turtles!!!

Welcome, it's Holly posting today.  Have you been enjoying  the Stampavie cards that we've been sharing this month?  These stamps are on sale for the whole month of August, so be sure to grab them while you can!  :-)

For my card today, I have used this adorable Henri playing with turtles Bubba and Milo image from Stampavie.  This was stamped on watercolor paper, and I colored with the great Distress Ink Markers and the Tim Holtz Water Brush - Detailer Brush Nib.  The sentiment is from Stampavie's Celebrate sentiment set - I love all the sentiment sets.  I bought every single one of them as soon as I saw them in the store.  I used a piece of burlap behind the stamped image to give this a rustic, masculine feel.  There are no flowers nor ribbons on this card because I'll be giving this to my husband for his birthday.  :-)  He doesn't care for all the frou-frou stuff!  LOL

The colors of markers that I used on this image are:
Tattered Rose - skin
Peeled Paint - grass, turtles
Crushed Olive - grass, turtles
Spiced Marmalade - flowers
Vintage Photo - hair
Stormy Sky - overalls
Tumbled Glass - sky
Shabby Shutters - grass, turtles
Scattered Straw - shirt
Brushed Corduroy - hair

I hope you've enjoyed the Stampavie artwork we've been sharing this month.  I've had a great time playing with these sweet images, and I find myself wondering what I will color next!  :-)

Henri is so cute!!!   We'll be sharing more Stampavie cards soon!

Hearts and Roses

Hello, everyone!  It's Linda posting a card for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge - Die cuts.  Die cuts are such an easy element to use on your card and they can add so much to a plain card without alot of effort.  Beverly has a great selection of die cuts in the Classy Cards 'n Such shop and she's always adding new ones, so be sure and take a look at them.

As you can see, I again used my favorite color pink as the main color on my card.  The mat on my card was cut from the beautiful Stardream Rose Quartz paper as were the two hearts.  The Cheery Lynn Designs Princess's Garden Window Frame was cut from Pearlized Esse White Metallic and adhered to the mat with the Quickie Glue Pen.  This pen makes it so easy to outline small spaces that you need to glue down.  The top heart was cut with the Cheery Lynn Designs Celtic Heart and adhered to another heart cut from the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Heart diecut.  These were attached to the card with Scor-Tape.  I added the Mini Rose Buds to the side of the heart and I think it added such a delicate element to the card.  The sentiment "Thinking of You"  is from Art Impressions.  This was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.

I added pink pearls from Want2Scrap and a bow made from Light Pink Sheer Asiana Ribbon.  I used the Bow Easy, to create this bow.  If you don't have one, I encourage you to think about getting one.  The Bow Easy is so easy to use and you can create many different sizes of bows with it.

We hope you will join us in our latest challenge and submit your cards for everyone to see!!  You might be the one chosen to receive the $10 gift certificate from the Classy Cards 'n Such shop!!

There's still plenty of time to enter the die cuts challenge! Click here for all of the details,

FREE SHIPPING is still available this week on any size order, any products from the Classy Cards shop.   Details are here.

Cottage Mouse with stand

Hi, it's Holly posting today!  I'm sharing this adorable Cottage Mouse card with a coordinating card stand.
This month at Classy Cards 'n Such, all of the Stampavie stamps are on sale!  I love these stamps, and I have quite a collection built up.  :-)  You'll see more cards using the Stampavie stamps this month, so keep checking out this blog for more inspiration.
I started by stamping this Cottage Mouse on watercolor paper with waterproof Jet Black Stazon ink.  The entire image is colored using the fabulous Distress Ink Markers and a Tim Holtz water brush - detailer brush nib.  Once the image was dry, I adhered a suede ribbon bow to the corner and matted it with some fun, off-center layers of green and suede cardstock.  The orange floral background was created by doing a Watercolor Distress technique (from Technique Junkies) with some distress inks.  Once that dried, I ran it through a machine with the Daisies embossing folder and then I lightly sponged some suede ink over the daisies so they would pop out from the background.
Did you notice the cute little card stand that the card is sitting in?  I used the Elegant Card Stand die to cut a suede stand to match my card.  The coolest thing is that it can be flattened out and mailed along with the card in a regular A2 envelope.  The recipient will have a fabulous way to display the card on a mantle or a shelf!
The marker colors that I used on this image are as follows:
Spun Sugar - flowers
Worn Lipstick - flowers
Aged Mahogany - flowers
Pumice Stone - mouse
Tumbled Glass - sky background, mouse's dress
Broken China - mouse's dress
Dried Marigold - house
Scattered Straw - roof, windows, basket, hat
Rusty Hinge - house
Peeled Paint - grass, flower leaves
Shabby Shutters - grass, flower leaves
Forest Moss - grass, flower leaves
Brushed Corduroy - planter, dirt road
Frayed Burlap - chimney, door, window frames
Vintage Photo - dirt road

All the Stampavie stamps are on sale this month.  Now's the time to pick up the ones you've had on your wish list.  :-)  Have fun shopping!
