Thankful

Hi, Diane with you today.

Our challenge for this week is Thankful. November is the perfect time of the year to look back and be thankful for all we have, and I don't mean material things either. I mean family, loved ones, our health and to be able to live as we do, so very thankful for that!!

I love the elegance of this card. I started by cutting 2 of the Impression Obsession Twig Wreath. One from Super Gold Metallic card stock, and one from Echo Bronze Stardream Metallic, I slightly offset one from the other.

A bow was cut from the same paper I used for the sides,
using the Sue Wilson - Finishing Touches Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow.

The sentiment was stamped from JustRite Thank You Daffodil set. I paper pierced around the punched oval with Crafters Tool's by Cheery Lynn Designs. I also used these tools to help with poking out the intricate design of the bow.

To finish Le Creme Pearls were added.

Thank you for visiting with me today.

Joy

Hello friends! It's Debbie, for this afternoon's post. This is my first Christmas card for this year, that I did not make from a kit.

This card quickly came together. The only thing I can say is, whatever you do, avoid sticking your fingers in wet Stickles. I cannot tell you how many times, I messed up a spot with a finger, and had to add more stickles to the open spots. Lesson learned, the messy way!

I started my card with a medium blue card stock. Then, using the Braided Vines embossing folder, by Sue Wilson, I used a white ink pad and applied it to the front of the embossing folder.

Once I applied the card stock to the white base card, next was to die cut the Joy - Festive Collection and Delicate Fronds dies, also by Sue Wilson. The Joy - Festive Collection is two dies. I added Stickles to all the open areas of the die.

Next, I attached White Mini Roses, (they look yellow, but they really are white), and tucked some of the Delicate Fronds die in under the flowers.

I attached everything to the card using the Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive

That is as easy as this card gets! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Come back tomorrow, and we will have a new CCNS challenge for you. It will be Challenge #111 - Thankful. There are beautiful cards just waiting to inspire you by the CCNS Design Team.

In order to win the challenge, we need a minimum of 7 entrants. We also choose the Top 3 cards, and those that are chosen, get to also add our blog badge to their blog! A great prize and Top 3 blog badge...you can't go wrong!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...

Thankful

Welcome friends! Mindy here, with my sample card for this weeks card challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such.  This week's theme is #109 Gobble-Gobble, because Thanksgiving is just around the corner. There are many things I am thankful for, especially the many followers of our blog and newsletter.

I started today's card with an embossing folder that is NEW at the Classy Cards store. It is the Braided Vines embossing folder by Sue Wilson, and is one of the larger sized folders, 8.5" X 12". The only problem I had was my machine is one of the smaller models and the folder was too big to fit. I am planning to get a new machine soon with the larger plate, so I decided to use the folder in a different way. I opened it and applied my ink on the raised side, then stamped the image on my background stock. I then inked around the edge before adhering to my card base.

I then die cut a stitched oval and used Joy! Small Foam pads to adhere it to my card.

I then cut two Classic Tom Turkeys, from Memory Box, and a handful of leaves from the Small Leaf Set by Impression Obsession.  I colored the small leaves with many colors from the Complete set of Earth Tone Color Bursts from Ken Oliver Crafts, on watercolor paper, then adhered them with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

The sentiment used was from the I Am Thankful stamp set from Impression Obsession, and I added a few hand-cut sequins from the Sequins Die-namics die from My Favorite Things.

I hope you have enjoyed my card, and will join us for our challenge this week.
