Trim The Tree

Hello, Diane with you today. This week our challenge is all about ornaments.  There are so many beautiful ornament dies to choose from.  Trust me, I know as I own several and what a hard choice to decide which one I wanted to use.

I ended up choosing this beautiful and intricate Memory Box Corby Ornament.  It was cut from a coordinations green glitter paper.  I cut it a second time using red for the cardinal.

This ornament die has a separate back you can purchase
if interested, Memory Box Drop Ornament.  It fits perfectly for the back layer.  I used Pearlized Esse White Metallic paper for the ornament backing.

The ornament was attached to an Impression Obsession Pine Branch.  I added a Snow Marker to the branch.
As you can see, I got a little carried away with the snow!

The snowflake paper behind the ornament was cut using a die from Sue Wilson Greek Island Collection Kefalonia.
I know it is difficult to see in the photo, but this was then embossed with Quilt Blocks by Darice.

I added an embossed under panel on red card stock
and a pretty red bow to finish it off.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Starry Dreams

Hi friends!  It's Holly posting today.  I was playing around with a new stencil and created this card to share with you. Have you seen all the new Memory Box stencils in the store?  They are awesome!

I started with some Stardream Lapis Pearlized Metallic cardstock, a gorgeous, shimmery, dark blue paper.  I laid the new Stars, Star Dust stencil onto the top of the paper, and used the Palette Knife to smear some Pearlescent Embossing Paste into the stars.

After the paste was dry, I embossed the sentiment from the Stampavie set, Celebrate with some Versamark and some White Detail embossing powder. This piece was then adhered to a white card base.

Wouldn't this make a great graduation card?  Or maybe it can be for someone who is starting the job of their dreams? It could even be a retirement card for someone who is retiring to pursue their dreams.  I love it when a card can be used for multiple occasions and for anyone, regardless of age or gender.

A great card filled with encouragement! Thanks Holly!

Let's Go Camping

Hello Classy friends! Diane here with you today, with my "Let's Go Camping" card, for our Classy Cards 'n Such challenge Make A Scene.

I don't camp anymore, but I sure do love the cute dies that have been popping out for these adorable camping trailers!

I cut the trailer from the My Favorite Things Happy Camper die set, using Stardream Serpentine Pearlized Metallic paper. I love how the metallic paper has a sheen, perfect for the camper, and look at all the detail the camper has...so fun!

I hand cut a mountain range and added several Impression Obsession Fir Trees. Nothing like camping in the open air with the smell of pine!

I added white fluffy clouds to the blue skies using Memory Box Puffy Clouds. To complete my "campsite", I had to add Golden Retriever using the Dog Set from Impression Obsession.

I would love to have you join in with us this week and create your own "scene"!

Cute card! All we need is the campfire! Thanks Diane!

Cute Little Easter Chick

Hello Classy Friends, Diane here today with my cute little Easter chick card, I created for this weeks challenge Easter Inspirational Sentiment.

To start my card, I used the gorgeous Stardream Serpentine Pearlized Metallic paper. I can't say enough about these papers, except once you try them, you will want them in all the colors available!

I used the Darice Doily Lace embossing folder. Next layered my stamped Impression Obsession Chick on top, popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Large. The image was stamped on Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Small. I used Copics to color the image, except I paper pieced the chick using the Bo Bunny Soft Shades Double-Dot Designs.

Once the image was colored, I added Clear Glitter Pen Wink of Stella here and there.  If you tilt the card slightly it has a nice shimmer on the flowers, stem and  chick.

Your card is so cute along with a great sentiment! Thanks Diane!
