Sunrise & Sunset

Hello friends, Mindy with you, sharing a friendship card using pieces of watercolor paper decorated with Ken Oliver Crafts Color Bursts as my main focal image.

I love playing with the Color Bursts, and the next set of Color Bursts - Earth Tones Assortment are now in at Classy Cards 'n Such online store. They are available as singles or as a 6 pack of the colors. 

I trimmed down a piece of my watercolor art to fit my card front, matted with white, on top of a red card stock base. From there, I added a scrap of gold embossed Kraft stock, and added a bit of Ivory cotton teardrop trim around the Kraft stock.

To complete my card, I added a butterfly stamped from the Sunflower Stem PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations, decorated with tiny Baby Pearls- White.

My sentiment is from Hope and Love Vintage Label set from JustRite Stamps, and is trimmed and attached with Joy! Large Foam Pads to give dimension.

Let's Ride

It is Shirley here today. I am going to share my card I made for the Purple Ride challenge this week. We were given a pictures of two cute Purple Bicycles with a basket of live flowers on it.

I picked out purple card stock and designer paper to start off with my card. Once the pieces were cut, I used my scissors to distress the edges. Next I added Lace at the top and the bottom of my card stock.

I used the Impression Obsession Riding Pretty Cling stamp, set to stamp the bicycle on white card stock. I used markers to color the bicycle. and the basket. I also used the Impression Obsession Bicycle die cut set to cut out the basket of flowers.

I used a stamp from my collection to stamp the grass around the bicycle and sponged it with distress ink.  The clouds were done with blue ink and a cloud template. You could use the Memory Box stencil, Modern Cloud Cover, to create your clouds. I cut a scalloped rectangle from purple card stock to make a layer for the bicycle.

I used White Seam Binding for my triple bow, and added a Teardrop Bling - White Pearls on the bow. I colored the pearl with a marker. Next, I found a silver lock with a heart and key that was in my embellishment tray and added them to the card.

The Memory Box Willoughby Butterfly Wings was added to the bottom of the card with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.  I added some pieces of Eternal Swirls - White Pearls that were left over from another project to, complete my card.

Holly Day Tag

Our challenge this week at Classy Cards n' Such is all about Christmas Tags.

Mindy here, to share a  tag from my collection with you today.

This one is a very simple, yet elegant tag, featuring a beautiful lacy mini doily from a set by My Favorite Things. On top of the doily I placed holly leaves cut from the Stardream Emerald Metallic paper, and the Ho Ho Holly Leaves by Memory Box.  I outlined the tag with White Cluny Lace, and then adhered the doily, holly leaves, and set of Peace Dove die cuts from Impression Obsession.

The sentiment was die cut from red card stock using a die in my supplies.

Silver Rhinestones and Red Stickles glitter were used to add sparkle and shine to the tag. Scraps of Ribbon were tied to the top of the tag matching the other embellishments.

Tags at Christmas come in very handy, for identifying gifts and adding a little decoration to gifts that are too awkward to be wrapped.
