Hi, it's Jenny posting today, with a new shaker card that is inspired by this
week's challenge #103 Deer Season. Join in the
fun, there's still time!
I started with a white side fold A2 card base. I layered a piece of
Kraft paper 1/8 inch smaller on all sides on top. I then cut a smaller
blue layer. I cut the middle out with an oval die from my stash. I
glued the Memory Box Deer in Trees die, to the underside of the blue
layer, and then glued a piece of clear plastic toy packaging on top, using
1/4" Scor Tape.
I made an oval ring around the opening with thick foam adhesive from my
stash. I cut another Memory Box Deer in Trees, and cut the deer off the
die cut. I then also cut the bottom of the trees. I glued the trees
down to the Kraft paper. I then sprinkled some chunky glitter to the
center of the Kraft paper, before removing the backing on the foam
adhesive, and laying it on top, so the adhesive formed a little ring
around the glitter.
The last item for the card was adding the Memory Box
Sketchbook Joy die.
Thanks so much for visiting and don't forget about joining our challenge this week!

My Family to Yours
Hello,
friends! Mindy with you today, bringing you a card that wishes well from
my family to yours. The theme of our Card Challenge this week is Deer
Season, and the inspiration photo shows a way to feature deer this
season.
I was inspired by the plaid design shown on the sample, along with the wonderful deer.
I started my card with a very fine scroll print mounted on a Kraft colored card base. I then die cut a rectangle of plaid card stock with the Romantic Rectangles die by Spellbinders, and used Joy! Large Foam Pads to adhere it to the front panel for dimension.
I then colored a piece of watercolor paper with Ultramarine Blue and Pthalo Green Color Bursts, by Ken Oliver Crafts. I then used a circle die from my stash to cut a circle for my main images. I then arranged the Evergreen Trees and Small Deer die cuts, from Impression Obsession, on the circle for my focal image. I also added the sentiment from a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set to complete my card.
There is still time to join our Classy Cards 'n Such challenge. Click on the Current Challenge tab on the right side of the blog for all the details. Come and join the fun!

Christmas Deer
Good afternoon friends! Here is another card I'll be adding to my folder of
Christmas cards.
The supplies to make it are found at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store. I love going thru the store finding goodies. When you register, it automatically creates a wish list for you and each time you visit the website, your wish list is there - waiting to be put in your cart! I love that! (my wish list is long!)
The plaid paper comes from Graphic 45's Twelve Days of Christmas, and was cut using one of the dies from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13.
The sentiment is from JustRite's Noel Christmas Ornaments, and was heat embossed using Heavyweight Vellum and Black Fine Detail embossing powder by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.
The deer was stamped on a circle die and then placed on a Picot Edge Circle by Spellbinders. I added a little framed square of the plaid paper to anchor the vellum.
Now -- it's your turn! Why not take this opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas card stash, by joining us in the challenge? We would love to see what you would do with the picture as inspiration! You could be the winner of a nice prize!
Have a Happy stamping day!

Deer Trio
Hi, Diane with you today!

It seems fall is almost upon us, and it is time to start thinking about our holiday cards. Classy Cards 'n Such is doing just that with the #103 challenge theme this week called Deer Season.
This is one of those cards with just the right dies and papers, you could easily mass produce to send out
for your holiday cards.
I simply started by cutting out a Spellbinders Circle from Authentique Believe 6 x 6 paper collection. I adhered it down with 1/2" Scor -Tape.
The second circle was cut from Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers.
The trees were cut using Impression Obsession Birch Trees. Once cut, I rubbed ink over them for a shimmer effect. The little red cardinals are part of the Birch Trees die set, and were cut from scraps of Stardream Jupiter Metallic paper.
Next came the deer family, cut from Memory Box Deer Trio. Did you know if you typed the word DEER in the search box, you will find a huge selection of deer to choose from in the CCNS online store? Try it, and you will be amazed at how many there are!
Thank you for visiting with me today!
If you are unable to find an item in the store, or would like something special ordered, please email me at beverly@classycardsnsuch.com.

Merry Christmas, Deer!
Diana here getting a head start on Christmas cards this year. It's only 3 months away!
For this Christmas card, and this week's challenge with the deer inspiration, I went with the colors, as well as making a scene with deer.
To start, I matted my die-cut using the large stitched die from MFT Blueprints 13, using the large die from the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and red card stock.
The scene consists of the following dies: Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees, PoppyStamps Forest Deer, Impression Obsession Merry Christmas, and lots of Joy! Small Foam Pads.
I used the Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive with the Art Institute Metal Tip, to adhere the thin lettering.
The deer were cut from watercolor paper and colored with watercolor Brush Pens. After it dried, I went back and added the white markings with a white gel pen.
To make the snow on the trees, I used the Ice White - Viva Decor Pearl Pen and White Detail embossing powder. While the pearl pen was still wet, I add the powder and then used a heat gun to set it. The pearls bubbled up a bit - and I loved that the powder was not nice and clean - I couldn't make the scattered snow if I tried.
Thanks for looking and I hope you get a chance to play along this week!
