Framed Heart

Hi, Diane with you today.  This week's challenge on the blog is Love Makes The World Go Around.  We were to use red and/or pink and hearts.  We also have a beautiful inspiration photo and you can find it by clicking on the current challenge tab.

I made a simple but gorgeous card.  I started by embossing with a new in store embossing folder by We R Memory Keepers Bouquet - Next Level These give a deep beautiful impression.

Next, I cut Impression Obsession Rectangles 6 in 1 Frames.
What this means is you get one die, but it cuts six frames all in one cut.  I used three of the six.

Each was popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Small. The frames  were cut from Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock.

I cut a heart using Memory Box Precious HeartsThe heart was cut with red mirricard card stock.

I hope you enjoy my card and try one yourself!

Thank you for joining me today!

Beautiful Valentine

Hi, it is Shirley here today with a card for the brand new challenge here at Classy Cards 'n Such. We are to make card with red/ white or pink/ white hearts. I decided on using red and white hearts plus I added in a little silver. Let's get started on my card.

I started by using a white glossy c ard stock.  I added a layer of red foil card stock.  I used a die to cut the lacey edge using more of the white glossy card stock and added another layer of red foil card stock.  I used Spellbinders Vines of Passion heart die to cut the white heart, but you could easily use the Memory Box LaRue Heart, as well.  I popped it up on the red foil card stock using Joy Foam Pads Small.   The silver heart and vine was cut using the Impression Obsession Heart Flourish die.   I cut it in three pieces to place around the white heart.  This die always looks nice on cards.  It seems to give them an elegant look.

I used Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive to adhere all the card pieces together.  I added pearls on two of the corners from Finesse Swirls White Pearls.

I hope you liked my card.  I apologize for the picture of it, it was very hard to get a good photograph of it in my lighting.  Be sure and make your heart card to enter in our challenge.  We love seeing all of your cards.

There have been a lot of other die cuts added to the store closing sale and they are going fast!   Click here for details!

Love You, Sweet Pea

Hi friends, Mindy with you today sharing a Valentine's Day themed card using one of the NEW Stacy Stamps floral images available in the Classy Cards 'n Such Online Store, as my focal point and several leftovers from previous cards as accents.

I started with the Ornate Frame Embossing Folder by Darice as my background. I then stamped the Sweet Pea stamp from Stacy Stamps on white card stock and colored it with watercolor markers before adhering it with foam tape to give dimension to the front of my card. I then added a banner stamped with a Valentine message from my stash, and decorated the card front with the inside remaining hearts from my Heart of Hearts die from Impression Obsession that I used on my previous challenge card. I also added a few sequins here and there to give the card a little sparkle.

I usually save my negative images from the die-cuts to use in future cards. I love to use, reuse, and recycle various embellishments and use them in my card making when I can. Have a wonderful day, and be sure to check to the Classy Cards 'n Such Online Store for special prices available this week.

Vintage Valentine

Good Morning, friends. Mindy with you today.  Our challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such is using Neutrals for your card or project.  Neutral or natural colors are usually considered earth tone colors. Using this monotone color palette is so much fun, and really makes for a classy looking card. I hope you enjoy this beautiful card suitable for weddings, birthdays and even Valentine's Day!

I think my card looks vintage with the white and off white shades of card stock I used for the layers and dies. I used four different heart shaped dies for the Valentine theme of my card.

I used:
Heart Flourish by Impression Obsession,
Heart of Hearts  by Impression Obsession,
Conversation Heart Block by Impression Obsession, and
Love You Heart by Impression Obsession.

Using the darker beige card stock I cut the Heart of Hearts die, and let the light beige stock of my card base show through.  All of the little innies pieces were saved for additional add-ons later.  I then cut the Heart Flourish and Love You Heart dies and adhered them over the top of the background to cover the front of the card.  I used my favorite clear glue, Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive, to adhere the many layers of die-cuts and tiny heart shapes, then added foam tape to the background stock to give the card dimension. A heart shaped pearl button was attached to the center of the Heart Flourish to finish the card.

I hope you have enjoyed this card.  It shows that with just a few dies, a few different shades of card stock, and an embellishment or two, you can make a classy card look elegant and festive.

Hello

Hello Classy Friends!  This week our challenge is to use a neutral palette.  We have a beautiful inspiration photo to get you started!

I decided to go with totally cream colors.  Using the inspiration photo for guidance, (click on the current challenge tab on the right of the blog to see photo).

I embossed a cream panel with Darice Quilt Blocks embossing folder.  This has to be one of my most favorite folders to date!

Next I cut a heart from Spellbinders Lace Hearts.  To achieve the heart shown, I used two hearts from the set, one inside the other, then cut...pretty isn't it?

Next I cut Impression Obsession Bird On a Branch from Authentique 6 x 6 paper pad Faith.  This pad has a beautiful collection of neutral papers.

I finished by adding a sentiment held by a tiny clothespin
and added a few gold Dew Drops.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Button Bouquet

Button, button. . . . Whose got the button? We do!  The theme for this weeks challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is Buttons, all shapes and colors.  Mindy here, and when I saw this weeks inspiration photo on the calendar page, I wanted to make a flower arrangement from buttons.

I started by assembling several layers and colors of buttons suitable for my card. I die cut the Lattice background from card stock and one from craft foam, to build it up and give the card dimension. I embossed a background card with the Mini Fans Embossing Folder by Craft's Too and adhered the lattice oval to the background with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive. I then die cut the Bamboo Shoots die and adhered it before adding my button flowers to the arrangement.  Two Medium Butterflies from Impression Obsessions were added with button bodies, and a twine bow as added for a bit of sparkle.  A birthday sentiment completed the card.

I hope you have been inspired by my card, and will join us in our challenge this week.

Watch for a BIG announcement here later today!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Until next time...

Thinking of You

Hello, Diane with you today.  This week on the blog the challenge is Buttons.  What fun!  I think buttons are so interesting with so many colors, shapes, and sizes to choose from!

I made a rather large card, 6 x 6. I first started by embossing a Mason Jar onto Heartfelt Creations' Clear Card Stock.

Next, I cut a piece of plain white card stock to fit the
embossed mason jar. I laid it on top so I could get the placement of my buttons.  Then I removed it and adhered each button down.  Here are some beautiful buttons for you to make your own jar and both are on sale!  Boutique Bubblegum and Boutique Cupcake.

I then ran adhesive down each side to attach the jar to the background. To cover up the adhesive, I cut two Impression Obsession Border Duo 1 edges and adhered over the edges.

To finish, I simply adhered the entire piece to a designer paper, added lace trim and bow to the top, and a sentiment.

Thank you for visiting with me today.`

Wherever You Go

Diana here with a cute card I made combining dies, stamps, and buttons for this week's challenge at CCNS. I love making little scenes out of dies. Today I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A, Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees, and PoppyStamps Scribble Clouds. I sponged Broken China for my skies and colored my little critters with Copics. I thought the buttons would make such cute balloons. After fussy cutting out the monkey and raccoon, I popped them up with small Joy! foam pads to add some extra dimensions.

There wasn't room on the front so I extended the scene to the inside of the card and found the perfect verse for it from ODBD Scripture Collection 3:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not

be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you
    wherever you go.
    Joshua 1:9
