Ho Ho Sparkle

Good morning to you, Diane with you today on the blog.

I don't know about you, but it seems the holidays are certainly creeping up on us! From Thanksgiving on, I am super busy, and like to get my Christmas cards made way in advance if I can!

One of my newest dies purchased from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, is one of the new Memory Box Distressed dies. This one is called Distressed Snowdrift Collage. Look at all the pretty and intricate details. A tiny White Pearl was added to each full snowflake.

I stamped an image from Stampavie called Tobi's Dearest Deer, and colored it with my Tim Holtz Distressed Water Color Markers. A bit of Diamond Stickles was added to the image.

Once dry, I popped the image up using Joy! Large Foam Pads. To finish, I added a Ribbon, a tag tied with Doodle Twine from the Sweet Cakes Valentine Assortment, and a snowflake button that I topped with Silver Rock Candy.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

It's Your Day!

Celebrate good times! Mindy, with a card celebrating one of my favorite collections from Heartfelt Creations, the Peacock Swirls, available in the Classy Cards 'n Such store! I hope you will enjoy it, and want to make one for yourself.

I started by stamping the peacock, and daisy figure, from the Peacock Swirls stamp set on white card stock, and colored it with watercolor markers. When I finished coloring the image, I die cut around it with the largest die from the A2 Divine Eloquence dies by Spellbinders. I centered the image on the card base, and added shadow around the image with Distress Ink Markers in several blue, green and yellow colors. I then adhered it to the card front, and added the banner, also cut from the A2 Divine Eloquence die set.

To complete the card, I added a few small White Baby Pearls to the sentiment tag and the daisy centers.

The sentiment is from the Keep in Touch, Too stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

And there you have it!  A very elegant card that didn't take too many supplies, and not a lot of time to complete.

Happy Stamping! I hope to visit with you all again soon.

Butterfly Collage

I love butterflies, but I think I have mentioned that before.

Mindy with you today with another Butterflies are Free card, celebrating the many butterflies available with the Butterfly Medley stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.

I started by stamping the Butterfly Medley stamp set on card stock, and coloring them in with various colors of Distress Markers by Tim Holtz. The next step was to die cut them with the Butterfly Medley die set also from Heartfelt Creations.

I also used the two larger butterfly dies also included in the die set, and cut three butterflies from watercolor paper that was colored with Ken Oliver Color Bursts pigments.

I arranged my collage of butterflies on my card front, and adhered them with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive and Joy! Large Foam Pads. By alternating adhesives, it gives my card front depth and dimension.

A few Teardrop Bling Pearls were added, along with a banner and saying from my stash, and my card was complete.

Thanks for visiting with me today, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Daisy Birthday

Happy Wednesday friends! Mindy visiting with you today, with my card for this week's #95 Colors and Patterns challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such.

My card, Daisy Birthday, is inspired by the beautiful colors included in this week's inspiration photo. The challenge, using Colors and Patterns, is a fairly simple concept to achieve. I hope you will all create a card for this challenge, and submit it for a chance at a wonderful prize!

Now on with my submission! I started by making a patterned background with the Cascading Ferns Background stamp by JustRite Stampers on my card base. Note - An easy way to apply big stamps to paper? Try the Mega Mount. It is a 6" x 6" slightly curved acrylic block with a handle.

I then die cut the elegant scroll background with the Fleur de Elegance die from Spellbinders, and adhered it to the card base with Joy! Large Foam Pads.

Next, I stamped the Daisies stamp set from Stacy Stamps  on watercolor paper, both the single flower and the background flowers. I colored the blooms with Distressed Ink Markers from Tim Holtz, in both Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade. I cut the background stamp in an oval, and fussy cut the single daisy, so that I could pop it up with the foam tape. A birthday banner stamp from my stash was used to finish my card.

I hope you have enjoyed my creation, and will join us in our weekly challenge fun!

Peaceful Journey

Hello friends! Joy here today, showing you a quick and simple card I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

The die cut border is from Memory Box, called Honey Blossom Frame, and colored with a few Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool, by Ranger, to shade some white card stock with ink.

I used some of that fabulous Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive with the Art Institue Fine Metal Tip, to attach the colored frame to the inked card stock. This is a really wonderful glue that dies clear - so no smudges!

Last, I stamped the greeting from  Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine by JustRite Stamps.

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!
We hope you come back every day to see two new cards posted daily that the design team has created not only for the weekly challenge, but we also post two regular cards daily, later in the week, to give you even more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...

Morning on the Farm

Hello, it is Diana today! This week's challenge at CCNS is Black and Red with a Rooster.  Frankly, this was a real challenge for me!  I did grow up in Arkansas and even had pet chickens, but I can't say I ever made a rooster themed card.  But then I spotted the Impression Obsession Farm Girl die set, from the online store and it was easy peasy!  :)

I started with a Darice honey comb embossing folder and black card base. I then used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A to trim a piece of red card stock for my angled layer.

I had some wood grain paper that I thought would look great as a barn background. I ripped and sponged a white piece of card stock, with Evergreen Bough Distress Stain and Walnut Stain Distress Ink Marker, to make it look like grass and dirt in front of the wood grain paper.

I cut out the Farm Girl die set out of white card stock, and also out of red card stock.  I paper pieced her dress on her instead of coloring it all red.  I used markers to add shading and colors to all the pieces. I later went back and used a white gel pen to add some details to her dress.  The fence and rooster is popped up with Joy! Small Foam Pads.

I had to google a picture of a rooster in order to color it - what would we do without google? My duck would have been lost in the white background, so I added a black bracket tab using MFT Blueprints 13 - it also helped balance the card.

Thank you so much for looking, and hope you can play along this week!
