No Place Like Home

Hello, Shirley here today posting another card with pretty blooms on it.  I received some Heartfelt Creation products this week and I couldn't wait to use them.

I started out using a sky color card base and added a layer of pink. Now the fun begins! I added the designer paper with the fence and flowers to build my card on.

I stamped my flowers and leaves in black ink using the Heartfelt Creations NEW Botanical Rose Stamps. I colored them with my markers and cut them out by hand. Beverly has some of the matching dies coming to the store soon. I used my stylus on them to give them some detail. I glued them together and placed a Joy Small  Foam Pads behind the flower and attached it to my card.

I used the Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One die to cut my "No Place Like Home" sentiment from a scrap from the paper I used on my card. The same label die was used to  cut three more tags from the Sky card stock. I layered them behind the sentiment to give it a border and attached it to the card.

I used a hole punch and punched a hole for my May Arts Textured two tone Pink/White Ribbon to go through. Instead of tying a knot, I just twisted the ribbon and used adhesive to secure it. I place a self adhesive White Pearl over the top of it and added it to the tag. I also added a pearl to the flower center. I added some White Pearl Swirls from my stash going from the flower to the corner of the card. I stamped another flower, colored it and added it to the corner with a white pearl. *Note - if you go to the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, click on the Bling tab and you will find a section called Swirls, Brackets and More. There are Pearl Swirls in different colors.

Fall Thanks

Linda made this beautiful card!   Here's what she has to say about it:

This card turned out to be more fall-like than I originally intended, but I really like the look.  I used a burnished orange paper from my collection for the card base and for two of the Spellbinders Labels 18.  The bottom label is embossed with the Crafts Too! Dots embossing folder.  I then used a DP from Prima's Romantique Collection for the mat and an additional Labels 18.  I stamped the "Thanks" stamp from Art Impressions and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I used foam dots to add some dimension to the Labels 18 stack.  I added some bling with e. Pearls and Crystals from Prima and Asiana Old Gold Ribbon which can also be found in the store.  The bow was made with the Bow-Easy and I used 1/4 " Scor-Tape to mount the mat.

Daisy Flourish

Here is another of the sympathy cards I recently made.  It was very quick and easy yet still has an elegant look!   It could easily be used for other occasions just by using a different sentiment - birthdays, anniversaries, congratulations and more!  It always takes me longer to choose my papers than it does to put the whole thing together.   Are you like that too?  I hope I'm not the only one!

Some Prima collections are being discontinued! Order now!!

I don't have a card to share with this post, but wanted to let you know about a conversation I had with a Prima Customer Service representative earlier today.   Some of their collections are being discontinued and as items sell out, Prima is not re-stocking.   There are several items that I currently carry that I am unable to replace, so I don't plan to place another Prima order until after their new collections are ready...probably at the summer CHA.

So, if you are interested in any of the Prima items I carry in the online shop, order them now as it is unlikely I can get any more.   Quantities are limited, so first come, first served!
