Seeds of Today

I love sunflower seeds, along with all the birds and squirrels in my yard.

Mindy here, with a card that is bright and sunny, and corresponds with our challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

I tried a fun technique I saw demonstrated on YouTube, where you can use an edging die over and over to make an interesting and different background for your card background.

I then stamped the Sunflower Stem Pre-Cut Set from Heartfelt Creations on white stock, colored and shaded it with various markers, then fussy cut around the flower and several of the sunflower seeds for my focal image.

To give the card a little more texture, I added a length of Ivory cotton Cluny Lace across the bottom of the card. Using Joy! Large Foam Pads, attached the flower, along with the sentiment from the set, and a tiny squirrel from the Squirrel Set by Impression Obsession.
To finish my card, I added a little bling with Silver Rock Candy from Queen and Co. for dimension.

Have a wonderful week, and be sure to join us for our weekly card challenge. It is so much fun, and you could win a wonderful prize if your card is selected.

Ho Ho Sparkle

Good morning to you, Diane with you today on the blog.

I don't know about you, but it seems the holidays are certainly creeping up on us! From Thanksgiving on, I am super busy, and like to get my Christmas cards made way in advance if I can!

One of my newest dies purchased from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, is one of the new Memory Box Distressed dies. This one is called Distressed Snowdrift Collage. Look at all the pretty and intricate details. A tiny White Pearl was added to each full snowflake.

I stamped an image from Stampavie called Tobi's Dearest Deer, and colored it with my Tim Holtz Distressed Water Color Markers. A bit of Diamond Stickles was added to the image.

Once dry, I popped the image up using Joy! Large Foam Pads. To finish, I added a Ribbon, a tag tied with Doodle Twine from the Sweet Cakes Valentine Assortment, and a snowflake button that I topped with Silver Rock Candy.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Bouquet of Roses

Congratulations are in order for this beautiful bouquet of roses, sent with love on this special day.

Mindy with you today, to share a card I recently made using a great new die. When I saw this die available from Memory Box in the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, I knew I had to have it. Not only are roses my favorite flowers, but there are so many techniques that can be used to color them.

The technique I used on this card, is the filled-in stained glass effect, using the English Rose Bouquet die from Memory Box. I die cut the bouquet, and adhered the outline die to the card front with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive and let it dry completely. I then shaded the interior of the roses with markers and added a layer of clear adhesive. The glue stays inside the cut out border, and dries to a shiny finish. I also added a touch of color to the embossed leaves.

To finish off the card, I die cut a tag using the Grommet Tags die from Spellbinders, which are now on sale at the Classy Cards Store.

I stamped the sentiment from the Keep in Touch, Too stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Some Silver Rock Candy embellishments from Queen and Co., were added along with a ribbon tied in a knot.

Thank you for joining me today for some card inspiration.

Spring Daffodil

Hello friends, Diane here today! I thought I would share that not only is yellow a favorite, but so are Daffodils.
I think they are one of the most gorgeous Spring flowers!

I started by embossing a piece of yellow vellum and topping it with a beautiful die cut from Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance.

I stamped a beautiful, what I call "center stage" daffodil,
from the JustRite Thank You Daffodil stamp set. After coloring with my Copics, I fussy cut it out.  Using Joy! Foam Pads Large, I mounted it on my Fleur de Elegance die cut.

From the same set, I stamped, colored and fussy cut a butterfly twice, mounted one on top of the other for a 3D effect, and added a bit of Stickles for some bling.

A bow was added, topped with an embellishment using
Silver Rock Candy.

A sentiment was added, from the set JustRite Black Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five, which was embossed with
Sparkle 'N Sprinkle Silver Fine Detail embossing powder.
From the same JustRite set, I used the butterfly and gave it the same treatment as the other one,

Thank you for visiting today! Won't you join in our challenge with us? It is lots of fun and don't forget the prize up for grabs!

Beautiful Day Roses

I have a card to share with you today that is made with lots of my favorite flowers - the Rose.  Mindy with a card for you featuring two of Heartfelt Creations floral stamp sets, Botanical Rose and Classic Bella Rose PreCut set.

After stamping all of the flowers and flower parts on white card stock, I began coloring them with my Copic markers and some Distressed Ink around the edges.  I then die cut the Botanical Rose pieces with the Botanical Wings die by Heartfelt Creations, and fussy cut the Classic Roses.  I then searched my printed paper stash, and found a beautiful rose print in the Romance 6x6 Paper bloc from Joy! Crafts and mounted it to my card base.

After adhering all my pieces, flowers and leaves I added a touch of bling with Sleek Strips Pearls - LeCreme from Want2Scrap and Pink Rock Candy from Queen and Co. My sentiment is from the Birds and Roses stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps.

Have a Beautiful Day stamping and making cards for our weekly challenges at Classy Cards 'n Such.

You Are Beautiful

Joy here, today for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge we are to use pearls - which I love, love, love.  So, here's my card!

The coral stripe is from Lady Rose, by Kaisercraft, on which I stamped words from the Just The Right Words stamp set, by JustRite.

The brown banners were heat embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Gold Detail Embossing Powder, using the "You are" and "inside and out" sentiments, from Impression Obsession's You are Beautiful stamp set. Snowflake Pearls, from Queen and Co., were added to the end of each banner.

The brown/beige dot paper is from Graphic 45 Botanical Tea. I added a tiny sliver of gold to the edge of the coral stripe to coordinate with the gold embossed words. (it looks brown on my computer, but it is gold). You could use Assorted Lines stickers. Use the link below to look at this type of sticker. There are beautiful different patterns on the gold and silver sticker sheets.

Now - it's your turn to have a go at this challenge. Classy Cards 'n Such  and see has all the details listed there under the Current Challenge label.

After you make your card, you can link it on the CCNS blog or here on mine.  You could be the winner of a nice prize. To make it more fun why don't you challenge one of your stamping friends?  I'm challenging my sister to make a project.
