Beautiful Blooms

Shirley, here today!  I am in the mood for spring time flowers, I am a little bored with the winter weather. Okay, so I am a whole lot bored with winter weather. The bad thing is - we really haven't had any bad weather yet so we have lots of winter yet to come. The days have been dark and gloomy and I am needing some sunshine. Here is a card I made to brighten my day.

I started my card by choosing a sky blue card base, I added a layer of black with another layer of yellow designer paper. I took black card stock and a piece of designer paper and used the SpellBinders A2 Curved Borders One die to cut the curved edge. I cut them both at the same time to get a perfect curve. I find if I cut them separate, it is hard to get them to line up perfectly.  I took some scrap designer papers and added them with the curved border to make the next layer. I added a black ribbon and attached all the pieces to the card base.

I used white card stock and stamped the flower image from the Sweet 'n Sassy Flowers in Bloom stamp set. I colored the image with markers, then I used a circle die to cut image out. I cut sky blue circle to layer under it. I used a Scalloped circle die with black card stock to add another layer under the flower image.  I attached it to my card with Joy Small Foam Pads, to pop it up off the card to give it depth.

I hope you  liked the card for today and that it brightened your day.  Thank you, for coming by taking a look at my card!
