Enjoy

Hi. it's Jenny posting today with a card I made using the new Couture Creations Tied Together die.  Doesn't this die create a gorgeous background?  Like the Arianna Blooms die that I use on everything lately, I think this will fast become one of my go-to dies.

Clean and Simple cards aren't usually my style. I love them but I can't seem to pull them off. What I start as a Clean and Simple card usually quickly turns to Cluttered and Complex. I had other embellishment ideas but I thought maybe I could stop at this point and possibly salvage a CAS style card.

I cut the Couture Creations Tied Together background out of a piece of white card stock. It's a bit longer than an A2 size card so I trimmed it. I then cut a rectangle from the front of my card base using a Spellbinders Curved Matting Basics die. I glued the Tied Together die cut to the underside of the card front, then cut a piece of Authentique Favorite paper behind the die cut to finish off the inside of the card.

Next I rounded the corners using a corner rounder. I cut a frame using the Spellbinders Matting Basics sets. I adhered the frame to the card using Joy Foam Pads. It's difficult to see from this angle but the extra layering really adds to the overall dimension.

I cut the 'Enjoy' die and colored it with my Mini Ink Blending Tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink before glittering it with a Wink of Stella pen and gluing it to the card front.

Last, I cut the Arianna Blooms flower, left it in the die while I dabbed Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around the edges with the Mini Ink Blending Tool.  I popped it out of the die, shaped it with my Paper Blossoms Tool Kit, and adhered it to the card front with Joy Foam Pads.
