Warm Glittery Trees

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today!  As you can probably tell by the cards I've made over the past year, I like making country-ish cards.  Today, I'm sharing a warm country Christmas card with y'all.

I started with a sand card base (A2) and then I pulled out some dies.  I used the Blueprints 6 by cutting my brown layer from the large rounded rectangle die, and I cut the sand cardstock piece with the smaller rounded rectangle die.

The brown layer was embossed with the Bricks and Bark  for a wonderful background texture.

I wrapped some linen thread around my bark embossed brown piece and adhered it to my card base. The sentiment from the Country Time Christmas (Flourishes) was stamped at the top of the smaller rectangle die cut and then adhered to my card with Joy! Foam Pads Large.

I die cut the Fir Trees from green cardstock but they needed a little "oomph" to turn this into a warm country Christmas card.  I pulled out the Mercury Glass Stickles and smeared it all over the trees with my finger and let them dry completely before adhering them to the card. I am in love with the Mercury Glass Stickles! That is a wonderful old-time shine on those trees!

A pretty country card! Thanks Holly!

Your card reminds me of all the pines surrounding our house with the snow. So pretty!
