Classy Quills

Hi, it's Joy today, featuring some supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.

Sometimes I play a game called "make it with what is on my desk". So, here is a card I made with just the supplies I had on my desk.

The feathers had already been cut with Quills and Ink Pot by Cheery Lynn Designs. I got this die some months ago, and love it so much that I cut out a little pile of them from scrap paper.

The oval background paper is from The Lake House 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad by Kaisercraft.

The large filigree die and oval die are from A2 Filigree Delight from Spellbinders.

The sentiment is from Cast All Your Cares by JustRite. It  was stamped on a little Die Cut from the The Lake House 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad. This 6.5" paper pad has 4 pages of gorgeous die cuts, some with little images.  This pad is usually out on my desk because the papers are so pretty! The layers were popped up with pop-up glue dots.

Recap of Supplies:
Stamp:  Cast All Your Cares - JustRite
Dies:     Quills and Ink Pot - Cheery Lynn Designs
            A2 Filigree Delight - Spellbinders
Paper:  The Lake House 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad - Kaisercraft

Now that my card is made, I'll clean up my desk and put these away for another day. Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Love the colors and quills! Classy! Thanks Joy!

Pearly Stencil Thanks

Hi, it's Holly posting today!  I played with the new stencils and Pearlescent Embossing Paste and came up with this card to share with you.

Look at the background - isn't that fun?  I laid the Cathedral Windows, large brass stencil over a piece of black cardstock and then spread Pearlescent Embossing Paste over the stencil with the Palette Knife.  Once all the holes were filled in with the paste, I used the Palette Knife to carefully drag off the excess paste and returned it to the jar.

I carefully peeled the black cardstock away from the brass stencil, laid the black cardstock down on my table, and immediately washed the stencil and the Palette Knife.  I let the stenciled piece dry overnight.

The next day, I pulled out the Sweet William Strip  die by (Cheery Lynn Designs), and cut out the flower petals several times.  I glued together three layers of petals, three times, to make three complete flowers and set them aside. I cut out the leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip die by (Cheery Lynn Designs) from different colors of green cardstock.  I then cut some of the pieces apart and glued them behind the flowers in a fun mix 'n match fashion.

I arranged the flowers at the bottom of my stenciled piece and glued them down.  Then I fluffed up the petals with my fingers, and I affixed Snowflake Pearls to the centers.

The sentiment, from the Picking Wildflowers (Flourishes), was stamped on white cardstock, and then trimmed the edges with scissors.  I affixed the sentiment to the stenciled piece with some Joy! Foam Pads, large, and then I glued the entire black piece to a white card base.

I love the gorgeous pearl shine and the texture from the embossing paste.  It adds an extra depth to this card that you just can't get from patterned paper or background stamps.

Your card is so pretty for the year round! Thanks Holly!

You are So Amazing

Hello Classy Friends!  Diane here with you today, with a gorgeous card that I am sure will make us all want those cold and dreary days to go away!!

I started my card out with the beautiful and very affordable embossing folder, Doily Lace, by Darice.  To make my hydrangea bloom, I used PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit, using the color Permanent Red first by sponging it on a scrap piece of paper. I then added Magenta on top, giving a contrast in color.  Both colors are included in the PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit.

To cut my flower, I used Cheery Lynn Designs Tiny Flower Kit cutting them out on my prepared paper. I ran the die through three times, giving me plenty of flowers to work with. I added tiny leaves using Impression Obsession Leaf Cluster underneath, also colored with the PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit.

The tiny hummingbird is a Cheery Lynn Designs die Tiny Things With Wings, and colored with gorgeous Twinkling H2Os Autumn Brilliance giving the bird a nice shiny look!!
The sentiment is JustRite's Just the Right Words stamp set.

I finished my card by adding a pretty pink bow and Stickles to the flower centers.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post and will see you again soon!

Your card is pretty "amazing"! Thanks Diane!

Prayers for You

Hi, it's Misti today!

Sympathy cards are hard any time of the year, but to need one during the holidays seems to be even harder.

My card today is a sympathy card.  I stamped the main flower from Star of Bethlehem by Flourishes. I only used two Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers, Peeled Paint and Mustard Seed, along with the Tim Holtz Water Brush.  It didn't require much coloring at all.

I cut out the image with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty-nine.

The papers are from the Graphic 45 12 Days of Christmas 6" x 6" paper pad worked great with the green in the flowers. You really can't tell that it's a Christmas paper pad!

I couldn't get the flower image and the sentiment to fit within the frame, so I stamped the sentiment from JustRite's With Sympathy set separately.

I used some Eggshell Seam Binding to finish it off.

A beautiful sympathy card! Thanks Misti!

Many Thanks

Hi, Joy here, showing you a card I made using great products from Classy Cards 'n Such.

I have fallen in love with feathers and they seem to be all the rage.  Here is my card for today:

I started with a black card base and added a gray and white print floral layer.

I used a die from the Spellbinders set called Decorative Labels Eight using gray cardstock.

To top the gray die cut, I added  a final white layer stamped with one of the sentiments from Impression Obsession, called Thanks Sentiments.

The quill (feather) die is from Quills and Ink Pot by Cheery Lynn Designs. The die set has 2 sizes of quills with a sweet ink pot and the veins in the quill are very deeply embossed.

A piece of ribbon was woven through the sides of the Decorative Labels Eight die cut and wrapped around to the back of the white print floral layer paper.

The final touch was to add a few black pearls from a Beautiful Bling Strip  for the perfect finish to the card.

Recap of supplies used:

Black Cardstock
White Floral paper
Cheery Lynn Designs Quills and Ink Pot
Bling:   Beautiful Bling Strip
Ribbon

Periwinkle Hopes

Hi, it's Holly posting today!  I was in a purple mood when I set about making this card, so I pulled out some flower dies and created this.

I used a sentiment from the Old Tea Rose stamp set by Flourishes, and a bunch of Cheery Lynn Designs dies to create this card.

I also pulled out the Periwinkle Twinkling H2O from the Carnivale set to color the Polynesian Sails Oval die.  I simply spritzed some water in the pot, let it sit for a minute, and then painted the die cut.  You can see the gorgeous shimmer in the picture below.

The Cheery Lynn Designs dies that I used are:

It was so much fun to mix and match all the different flowers and colors.  I hope you play around with your dies and see what different combos you can come up with!

Your card is so pretty! Thanks Holly!

I hope each of you had a merry and blessed Christmas!

Go Granny Go!!!

Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

A  couple of very cute Sparkle 'n Sprinkle stamps to share with you. One is the sentiment and the other is Granny taking a cruise in her old jalopy to help out with a bake sale at the church. Look out young and old alike, as she has the pedal to the metal and is on a mission to get there quickly!! Go Granny Go!!!

I decided to make a little scene for Go Granny Go car stamp, by first sponging the Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Ink Marker on for the sky. To the sky, I added a few Puffy Clouds by Memory Box, popped up with Joy! Foam Pads, small.

I hand cut a few ridges using the paper pad Vintage Bliss 6" x 6" paper pad by Simple Stories. Behind the ridges, I added a few house and pine trees using the Cheery Lynn Designs Winter Neighborhood Border die.

For the tag, I used the Cheery Lynn Designs Tags 4 die. Stamped the Go Granny Go and wrapped Doodlebug Twine - Sweet Cakes Valentine Assortment around the top of the card twice, and tied on my sentiment tag.

I think these cute stamps would be great to use for the granny in your life!

What a great card! Thanks Diane!

In Appreciation

Hi everyone!  It's Joy here today!  I needed to make a thank you card for a teacher and needed it quick!  The Spellbinders dies that Classy Cards 'n Such have make it so easy!

For this card, I used the Spellbinders dies called Romantic Rectangles and Decorative Labels Eight. I cut the large Romantic Rectangle, folded it half and layered the Labels Eight on top of it.

The stamp is from the set called Thanks Sentiments from Impression Obsession.

I die cut some of the leaves from Build a Flower #2 from Cheery Lynn Designs, and layered them on top with a brad from my stash.

The Paper is from Lake House 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad from Kaisercraft. Each layer was sponged on the edge with a little ink.

Since this was an odd size card, I made an envelope with my Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. It's my favorite tool! When folded, the card measured almost 3 x 3 7/8.  It was easy to look on the punch board guide for the right size of paper needed.  I slipped a gift card inside which fit so nicely inside the folded Rectangle.

This really was an easy, quick gift card and envelope to make.

Recap:

Stamp Set:  Thanks Sentiments
Dies:           Romantic Rectangles
                  Decorative Labels Eight
                  Build a Flower #2
Tools:         Envelope Punch Board

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!

This is really an eye-catching card, Joy!  Thanks for sharing!
