I bought this paper years ago when I went to Colorado to meet a couple of my Splitcoaststampers friends. I guess I was saving it for just the right card, and this challenge was a perfect time to use it.
I chose to use black card stock, and Poison Ivory Curious Metallic paper
for my card base and layers. I used a circle die, and an embossing
folder from my collection, to showcase the Rooster from the Impression
Obsession Rooster and Chickens die
set. Crafts Too has a nice embossing folder called Dots, that would do the trick. I did not have a small sun die, so I used a flower punch for my sun. I used basket shredding that was saved from a gift to represent
barnyard hay. I added a Ribbon bow and tied a button on it with twine.
The metal embellishment came from my stash, from when I first started scrapbooking and card making. I used the NEW Memory Box Distressed Baptisia Collage die
set for the corner chicken wire embellishment. I really was impressed
when I opened it, to find that it came with a magnetic sheet for easy
storage. I used Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive to
adhere everything to the card. As much as I use this adhesive, I think
I need to buy it in a 55 gallon drum. ~grin~ Does that tell you how
much I like it?
