Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello, it is Shirley posting today.  I have made a sympathy card for you today.  This is one of those cards that are really hard to make especially when you are in need of one, and this one was needed to send to a friend.

I started my card with a black card base and added a layer of pink over it. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread Designs Carried to Heaven stamps set, and attached it to the card base.

The Sue Wilson Lavish Swirls - Diagonal die was used on the black and white paper. I layered it on a strip of pink paper. I used Art Institute Clear Dries Adhesive to adhere it.

I used the Heart Flourish die, by Impression Obsession, to put over the top of the swirl. I did not use the whole die cut. I did cut part of it off with my scissors to achieve the look I wanted.

Silver Rhinestones were added for the finishing touch to my card.

Thank you for coming by and taking a look at my card today.

Your sympathy card is beautiful and elegant - and yet very serene. I know sympathy cards are sometimes necessary - but I still don't like making them.

Love the use of pink with your black and white - even a sympathy card needs "light" and the pink provides that, and a hope for peace! Using this new die turned out great the way you have it on an angle - love the floating heart die too - a very heartfelt card!
