Fading Fall Flowers

Hello to all my blog friends!   I'm so sorry the blog posts have been MIA for the past few days, but I've been under the weather a bit.   I think I'm on the mend, so we are back to sharing beautiful cards from the Classy Cards Design Team.   Enjoy!!

Hello, Diane here with you today! I have been seeing all over online where Fall seems to be the favorite time of the year. That sure rings true with me, also. Which brings us to today's card at Classy Cards 'n Such.

To create my card, I first stamped an Impression Obsession Distressed Brick background stamp, (which Beverly can order for you), with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink Marker.

The window was cut with Poppy Stamps die Small Madison Window, the shutters are Poppy Stamps die Small Madison Shutters and the window box with Poppy Stamps die Small Madison Flower Box. Isn't this the cutest window??  I added a bit of lace for the curtain...love it.  The possibilities are endless with these dies!

Inside my flower box I have added greenery using Cheery Lynn Designs Wreath Strip.

The cute flowers in the window box are from the newest release by Cheery Lynn Dies Tiny Flower Kit - set of 3. This new flower kit is a must have! It has three different strips of tiny flowers that are just perfect for when you need to fill in with a small flower or just on their own.  I made my mums in the flower box with these newest dies.

To finish off my card, I added the cat from the Cheery Lynn Designs die, Screen Door With Cat. The cute pumpkins are from the Cheery Lynn Designs die Pumpkins - set of 2 sizes.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, and don't forget to sign up for the Classy Cards 'n Such newsletter. The sign up is located on the left side of the blog (under Beverly's photo). For The Men

Hi, it's Joy today!

I have a masculine card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  I challenged myself to pick an element and make both a feminine card and a masculine card using that same element. The feminine card will be posted another time.

The element I used is a beautiful embossing folder called Feathers by Crafts Too!.

The sentiments on this card are from Live, Love, Laugh Vintage Labels Two stamp set from JustRite. This set has many sentiments that can be configured in lots of different ways.  For this card, I stamped a few of them on vellum.

I used the JustRite Custom Die made by Spellbinders, called Vintage Label Two Dies for the larger sentiment.

This turned out to be a quick and simple card - but most masculine cards are!

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a happy stamping day!

Your card is beautiful! Thanks Joy!

Holly, Bow, & Bling

Hi!  It's Jenn posting today.

I wanted the focus of my card to be on the bow from the Flourishes stamp set That's a Wrap. So, that's where I began my creative process. I stamped the bow image, colored it with Copic markers and then cut it out with detail scissors.

My card base is made from Stardream Jupiter metallic cardstock and measures 5.5 x 6.5 inches. This is a lovely, shimmery red that is perfect for both Christmas and Valentine's Day. To the base I added a gold script patterned paper from the Holly Bright 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Christmas paper pad by Kaisercaft.

I placed the bow in the center of the gold script paper. I didn't like the way the bow looked alone, so I decided to stamp and color the holly leaves with berries, also from the That's a Wrap Flourishes stamp set. I cut them out and placed them in the center of the bow.

For my sentiment, I used the tag image with "Happy Holidays" stamped inside it.  I cut it out and adhered it in between the bow and holly leaves.

Very rarely do I complete a card without using a die cut and this one was no exception. Using the Holly Corner by Cheery Lynn Designs and Stardream Emerald paper, I die cut two holly corners to adhere to the top left and bottom right corners. I completed the look by adding Baby Rhinestones - Red where the holly berries should be.

A beautifully wrapped card! Thanks Jenn!

Autumn Owl

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today.  I have a really quick and easy card to share with you using the new Birch Tree with Cute Critters from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Have you seen all the new Cheery Lynn Designs dies that were just released? You can find them here. I fell in love with this new Birch Tree with Cute Critters die and bought it as soon as I saw it.  This tree will work beautifully with any season, and since it is fall, I created a fall card today.

I started with a dark brown card base (A2 size) and added a layer of the gorgeous autumn paper from the Autumn Song 6x6 paper pad.

I die cut the Birch Tree with Cute Critters from white cardstock and then sponged some brown distress ink onto the edges.  The little critters cut out at the same time the tree is die cut, so I pulled the owl out and sponged him very heavily with brown ink.

I adhered the tree to the left side of my card and cut off the excess tree limbs that were hanging over the edge. The owl was affixed to a tree branch with Joy Foam Pads, small to give it some dimension.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Anytime Sentiments (Impression Obsession), with dark brown ink right below the owl.

This card is quick and easy, and the gorgeous colors in that autumn paper really give it a WOW factor.  There are no bulky embellishments on this card, so I can write a little note inside and pop it in the mail with a regular First Class postage stamp.

Beautiful card for Fall! Thanks Holly!

Christmas Candles

Hello Friends! It's Diane here on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog with you today.

I wanted to get an early start on my Christmas cards as you all know how busy the season can be and how it seems to sneak up on you before you know it!!

I made a glittery round card using the Glowing Candles,
a Memory Box die. I cut the die twice, once on white cardstock and then again on green cardstock. I just trimmed away the green part of the candles and adhered the two together.

I added little Baby Rhinestones-Red for my berries. The veins of the leaves I outlined with a Gelly Roll Stardust Clear Pen by Sakura, giving a bit of sparkle to the leaves!

Underneath the candles, I used red cardstock and cut the French Pastry Doily Die by Cheery Lynn Designs. Yes, I know you see me use this A LOT, but I can't help myself...I LOVE it!!

Cute card for the holidays!! Thanks Diane!!!

Sunflower Wreath

Hi, it's Misti!

Happy Fall Y'all!  I want a wreath like this stamp, and every year I say I'm gonna buy one.  When I go to the store and see the prices, I think about how many stamps I could buy with that money, I decide to buy stamps! For now, I'll just keep stamping my wreaths!

Supplies used from Classy Cards 'n Such:
Seasonal Wreaths by Flourishes
Scrollworks embossing folder
Wild Honey distress ink marker
Peeled Paint distress ink marker
Vintage Photo distress ink marker
Tattered Rose distress ink marker
I stamped the sunflower wreath from Seasonal Wreaths by Flourishes, in black ink and water colored the image using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers listed above, and the Tim Holtz Water Brush. I didn't have to use much water, but enough that I felt it needed to dry.

I embossed my white panel with the Scrollworks embossing folder.  The brown scalloped border was created by using the Blueprints 3 die set by My Favorite Things.

The yellow panel is from the French Country 6" x 6" by Graphic 45 paper pad.  I have used this paper pad quite often. I added the Seam Binding to the yellow panel.

I cut my wreath panel into a square and added a white pearl with in each corner.

A beautiful card for fall! Thanks Misti!!!

A Bird Sings

Hi everyone! Today it's Joy posting a card with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.

This is a fast card using some great paper from Simple Stories called Harvest Lane 6" x 6" paper pad.

I used stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Bird Song.

The ribbon is the fabulous Egg Shell Seam Binding that I colored with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers.  I just ran the tip of the marker up and down the ribbon until it was the right shade and did a quick dry with my heat gun.  The ink made the ribbon just a little stiff, but I found it tied beautifully. Instead of letting the tails of the ribbon hang, I used them to wrap around the top layers of the card.

This card is an example of how pretty paper and great stamps makes creating easy.  So go to Classy Cards 'n Such take a look around. They have what you need to help take your card making and scrapbooking to a new level!

Thanks for looking at my card. I hope you have a HAPPY stamping day.

Great ideas and a beautiful card! Thanks Joy!!

Sunflower Blessings

Hi, it's Holly posting today.  Is it fall yet??  It's beginning to show up here in Texas, but we aren't quite there yet.  So I'm staying inside with the air conditioning and cranking out some fall-inspired cards to share with you.  :-)

Today's card focuses on the sunflower and some warm fall colors.  I started with a mustard card base and I added a dark brown layer.  The vanilla background layer is a sheet of paper from the French Country 6 x 6 paper pad, and I stamped a rooster background (Impression Obsession) on it with Antique Linen distress ink.

I wanted a very pale and distressed stamping so I lightly tapped the ink pad over the rooster background and gently pressed it onto the vanilla paper.  I love how it turned out! Then I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Blessings in dark brown ink onto the bottom left corner of the paper.

Next, I cut two strips of paper from the same French Country 6 x 6 paper pad (solid red and dark brown text), and then cut notches in the bottom with scissors.  I layered them on the right side of the paper, overlapping them slightly.  A strip of mustard cardstock was cut with the Anastasia Border die by Cheery Lynn Designs, and adhered at the top of the card.

Some leaves were cut from olive cardstock using the Rose Leaf Strip die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and glued down onto the card.  The Sunflower die was cut twice from a soft yellow paper from the French Country 6 x 6 paper pad.  I sponged the tips with mustard ink and adhered the two sunflowers together.  The center of the Sunflower was cut from brown cardstock. I added some sparkle to it by embossing it with Brown Fizz embossing powder by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle .  Isn't that a gorgeous shimmery brown??

I love the warm colors on this card and that touch of glittery goodness on the flower.   You can still see the piercing through the embossing powder - so cool!  If I would have covered this with glitter, it would have covered up all the intricate piercing that happens when you die cut this sunflower center.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  :-)

What a pretty card for fall! Thanks Holly!!!

Floral Envelope Card

Hi, it's Diane again with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog. I made this pretty card using one of my favorite tools ever, the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. I made this little gift card size envelope the focus on my card, filling it with some floral goodies. It can still hold a gift card!!

Inside the envelope I added a Memory Box die, Quinn Flourish. This is a very delicate and gorgeous die.

I added the Flourish Leaf Strip by Cheery Lynn Designs. These little leaves are the most useful die I have!!

I cut and colored the leaves from the Cheery Lynn Designs  Build a Flower #3, using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers  Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage.

I added little flowers from the Cheery Lynn Designs Cuties 3 die.

The little rick rack trim at the bottom of the envelope is from Cheery Lynn Designs Expandable Tiny Borders. There are 14 different borders in this die.

The designer paper I used is Vintage Bliss 6" x 6" paper pad by Simple Stories.

I finished off the card with a bow and a sterling silver heart charm!

Thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Your card is so pretty and colorful! Thanks Diane!!
