Hello
Crafty Friends, Shirley posting today! Our challenge at Classy
Cards 'n Such this week is to make a card with either Cherry Blossoms/Dogwoods.There is a inspiration photo posted on the blog for you to look at.
I started out with a white card base and layered it with pink. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the blue layer of paper using Graphic 45 paper. I cut a layer of pink to go behind it. I took a piece of white card stock and sponged clouds on it using Distress ink and a cloud template. *The Modern Cloud Cover stencil from Memory box would be perfect for this*.
I used the same Spellbinder die set to cut it out. I stamped the sentiment on it using the Sweet 'n Sassy sentiment from the Get Well Critters stamp set.
Next I used the Impression Obsession Bare Branch die to cut the branch from brown card stock. I used my small formal punch to cut my flowers from pink paper. I used my Paper Blossoms Tool Kit to shape my flowers. I attached them to my branch using Art Institute Clear Dries Clear Adhesive. I added yellow beads to the flower centers.
Thank you, for stopping by today.
If you didn't have yellow beads, you could use either yellow pearls, or a Viva Decor Pearl Pen to drop a bead in the center of the flower". Click on the icons below in the supply list below to check some examples.

Love those blooming dogwoods, Shirley - the flowering trees are breaking out in blooms here too, so your card fell right into the line here! I like the Asian touch with the umbrella too!
Ooops, I meant cherry blossoms, Shirley!!
