Doily Lace Florals

Hello Classy Friends, Diane here with you today to share with you a new and fabulous die designed by Anna Griffin.  I think this is one of the most gorgeous new dies I have seen in a long time and I think you will agree!  You better pick yours up soon from Classy Cards 'n Such online store, as these beauties are selling out FAST!!

This particular die is called Flower Vine. It cuts like a dream and after it is cut, you run it through your machine to emboss. It creates a deep, beautiful embossing!  I run mine through a few times, moving the die to make sure I get all of it.  As you know, each machine performs differently.

My cards today show three different ways you can use/color your die cut. For the first one, I sponged Tim Holtz Distress Markers on. Easy and effective, don't you think??

The background embossing folder I used is a new to the shop Doily Lace by Darice. I think this embossing folder is so pretty, and the price is so reasonable too.  A little hint I do when embossing is to cut my card stock base slightly larger then an A2 card.  After all you want to capture all the beautiful embossing!

My second card, I painted on Twinkling H20's, using colors from Holiday Sparkle, Springtime, and Autumn Brilliance. I love how it gives it a shimmery look! (Hint...take a peek at the shop as Beverly is now stocking LOTS of new colors of H2O's). The card base is also the Doily Lace embossing folder.

My third card was colored with Pan Pastels Flower Coloring Kit. I think this gave the flowers a watercolor look...and of course, the background is the same lovely Doily Lace embossing folder.

I hope these cards give you a few ideas on how to use this new Flower Vine die!  Oh, and a little secret... there are a couple more Anna Griffin dies in the shop as well!

Until I see you next time, have a creative day!!

Your cards are gorgeous! Thanks Diane!

Bees with Cupcake

Hi, it's Misti again!

When I heard about the border die cut challenge, I couldn't wait to get started.

My card for the border die challenge uses the My Favorite Things Blueprints 3 Die-namics border die cut in black cardstock.

I stamped the Wild Rose Studio Bees with Cupcake image onto my white panel.  It's a NEW addition to the Classy Cards 'n Such store and it's super cute!  I colored it in with the following Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers: Broken China, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Black Soot, Tattered Rose, Peeled Paint and the Tim Holtz Water Brush.

The papers are from the Graphic 45 French Country 6" x 6" paper pad. The printed paper reminds me of a honeycomb.

I used three of the smallest Black Pearls from Want2Scrap.

Now that you see how fun borders can be, come join the CCNS #14 challenge! We would love to see your project!

Your card is so cute, love it! Thanks Misti!

He Has Made Everything Beautiful

Hi, it's Joy!

Today, Beverly, owner of Classy Cards 'n Such challenged us to make a card with a border. We would love to see what you do with this challenge.

Read all the details and link your project.  There will be a prize for the winner of the challenge!

I really like the way my card turned out.

Ribbon - Seam Binding

Starting out with a white card for my base, I used the border stamp from JustRite Cast All Your Cares stamp set. I then grabbed my markers to color in the border. The stamp set is compatible with Spellbinders S4-301 Labels Sixteen and Edgeabilities E8-002 Classic Bracket.

I also used my marker to color the Seam Binding and wrapped it around my card to make the bow. Added a
Medallion Sparklers designer button, by Webster's Pages, for a little sparkle in the center of the bow.

The sentiment also comes from the JustRite Cast All Your Cares stamp set. Once I stamped it on my cardstock, then I used the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight for the die cut. I also used the Joy! Foam Pads, Large, to give some dimension to the card.

The last step was to attach a cute butterfly and done!

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Love the colors! Your card is so pretty! Thanks Joy!

Banner with Borders

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today!

Did you see that Classy Cards 'n Such has a new challenge this week? Yup, we'll have a new challenge every week and I hope you'll play along with us.

This week, pull out your border dies to create something and share it with us.  We'd love to see what you've been doing with your border dies.

I used two border dies on my card.  Look just below the ribbon - see the green and the pink border dies?  I used those to mark a separation between the banners and the patterned paper at the top.

The patterned paper and banners were made using the  Love Letters Premium 6 x 6 Paper Pad (Trimcraft). This paper pad has more sheets than most 6" x 6" paper pads with 64 sheets - 4 each of 16 designs. Half of the sheets are double-sided and half are single-sided with glitter effects.

The following products were used on this card:

Anastasia Border (Cheery Lynn Designs) - pink border
Ankara Lace Border (Cheery Lynn Designs) - green border
Picking Wildflowers - sentiment from stamp set (Flourishes)
Joy! Foam Pads Large (behind the sentiment)

Check out the inspiration from my fellow Design Team members by clicking here. Play along with us and enter in the challenge. You could win a prize!

Your card is so beautiful! Thanks Holly!

In LOVE With Borders

Hello Classy Friends!

Isn't it nice to make some projects other then Christmas? I think we are all ready for some different things!

This card was made for the current CCNS #14 Border challenge.

I made my pretty pink card using all Cheery Lynn Designs  dies. I started with a pink card stock base and added two gorgeous borders, using Cheery Lynn Designs Border Carnivale. I cut it twice and stacked it. Isn't it gorgeous?

The designer paper for the background is from the The Lake House 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad by Kaisercraft.

Next I cut the beautiful Cheery Lynn Designs die Lattice Hearts and Vines. This die has such lovely detail!

I added the Cheery Lynn Designs word die Love. This die comes with two different sizes of the word. It's like getting two dies for the price of one.

I added a few embellishments from my stash and I had a completed card.

A few things I used in the making of my card are:

The Cuttlehug, large allows me to get a perfect detailed cut every time.

Joy! Foam Pads Small to pop up my heart and the word Love.

The 1/4" Score-Tape to adhere my borders, and also the
1/2" Scor-Tape to adhere my designer paper.

Your card turned out so lovely! Thanks Diane!
