It is Shirley posting today and I am sharing a card I made for the Be Inspired challenge. I like banners so when I saw the inspiration picture, I knew I was going to have banners on my card.
I started with a blue card base and added a layer of white card stock. I tied a piece of blue and white twine across my card. I added little bows at each end of the twine.
Have you ever had scraps of paper you really loved and could not bear to toss them in the trash? This card will show you how to use those special little pieces of paper. The paper I used on my card is scraps from Simple Stories called Vintage Bliss. I used punches to punch out the banners and the palm trees. I used the Memory Box Precious Hearts die to cut my hearts and I snipped off the bows so I could use the hearts only. I attached all of the pieces I just mentioned to the twine going across my card. I used buttons, a heart, a safety pin and a clothes pen from my stash. I added silver rhinestones to the hearts and the palm trees.
I used the Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments stamp set and blue ink to stamp the sentiment on the bottom of my card and that completes my card.
Thank you for coming by our blog and I hope you will join us for the challenge. I look forward to seeing your cards.
