Hello Classy Friends, Diane here with you today.
Now that Spring is here I can hardly wait to get outside
and clean up the gardens in hope of soon seeing the Spring flowers arrive. In the meantime I created my own blooms for today's card!
There are so many new items in the store, it was hard to choose which flowers to work with, but choose I did and ended up making the flowers you see here. Aren't they gorgeous?
I used the new Sue Wilson dies Finishing Touches Delicate Daisies Complete Petals and Delicate Daisies Open Petals. One of the fun things about these dies, not only do you get 8 different sized dies to work within EACH set, but, you can use them all separate and as many layers you might wan from one to eight!
My flowers were cut from red/white scrap paper for the complete petals and white card stock for the open petals. Gluing the flowers is easy, using a small amount of Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive in the center of each flower first, then gluing each petal down one by one. The red/white flowers are 4 layers, the little red flowers are 2 layers. To finish, I added a Black Pearl to each flower center.
Once my flowers were complete, I set them aside to dry
and started on the base of my card. Using Dazzling Sunburst embossing folder, I embossed white card stock.
Next is another newly purchased die Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance cut using Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock.
I also cut a few bright yellow Tall Chloe Stems, well, they were tall, I cut most of the stems off, as for this card I didn't want them to show!
After I was happy with the arrangement of the flowers, I stamped a sentiment from JustRite Black-Eyed Susan set.
