Hi, Diana here! I can't believe it's middle of March already - especially when there's still some snow on the ground. Soon it'll be Easter, then Memorial Day, and then summer! But first is St. Patrick's Day! Though I love the story of St. Patrick, I've never treated it as a holiday. But now with kids, it seems every holiday is a big deal! And so it should be - I need to learn to celebrate more and the story of St. Patrick is a wonderful one.
And this blessing from Our Daily Bread Designs St. Patrick's Day is just sweet. I die-cut and sponged the blessing with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and sponged the edges with a bit of green. I think the Spellbinders Mary Border Strip goes really well with my St. Patrick theme. It comes in two pieces - the inner one cuts just the openings. The outer one cuts out the entire piece. I die-cut the inner one out of my white layer and since it is just a bit bigger than an A2 size, I made a white layer made with both dies to overlay the base layer. I love how the green layer peaks out and that it goes over the edge just a bit.
I adhered my blessings with small Joy! foam pads above the Mary Border strip. The white space above it was a little too plain so I used my Scor Buddy to add a couple of score lines to both the top and bottom. Finally, I made a little clover using little heart dies also popped up with small Joy! foam pads and the stem is from the balloon string in the ODBD Happy Birthday die set.
Remember to wear green! :)
