Colorful Chloe Stems

Hello Crafty Friends! Shirley here today, and I wanted to share with you, a one layer card I made using a stencil, inks and sponges to make my colorful background.

I started with a white card base. I put my card on a mat and used tape to secure the  Memory Box Texture Mesh stencil over card.  I chose the following inks to use with the stencil - tangerine, green, blue and curry.  I used finger daubers to apply the ink.

Next I used tangerine, green and blue card stocks to cut three Chloe Stems using the Memory Box Tall Chloe Stem die. I attached the stems to the card using Art Institute Clear Adhesive. I added gold Stickles to the centers of the stems.

I stamped the sentiment on the card using  Our Daily Bread Designs Ornate Frame Sentiments stamp set. To finish off the card, I chose a blue piece of ric rac across the top of the card.

Thank you for joining us today.

Wow, what a happy and colorful background you created here! Love how you stenciled all those bright colors and added the rick rack and the stickles to jazz it up even more - the bright colors make me think spring is almost here, but we are expecting SNOW tomorrow, so I will have to be content staring at your SPRING CARD!

Beautiful and elegant card. The stenciled effect is really pretty - reminds me of an ombre effect. The flowers are so pretty against the awesome background!!!
