Warm Glittery Trees

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today!  As you can probably tell by the cards I've made over the past year, I like making country-ish cards.  Today, I'm sharing a warm country Christmas card with y'all.

I started with a sand card base (A2) and then I pulled out some dies.  I used the Blueprints 6 by cutting my brown layer from the large rounded rectangle die, and I cut the sand cardstock piece with the smaller rounded rectangle die.

The brown layer was embossed with the Bricks and Bark  for a wonderful background texture.

I wrapped some linen thread around my bark embossed brown piece and adhered it to my card base. The sentiment from the Country Time Christmas (Flourishes) was stamped at the top of the smaller rectangle die cut and then adhered to my card with Joy! Foam Pads Large.

I die cut the Fir Trees from green cardstock but they needed a little "oomph" to turn this into a warm country Christmas card.  I pulled out the Mercury Glass Stickles and smeared it all over the trees with my finger and let them dry completely before adhering them to the card. I am in love with the Mercury Glass Stickles! That is a wonderful old-time shine on those trees!

A pretty country card! Thanks Holly!

Distressed Mums

Hi, it's Misti again!

I have another Chrysanthemum card to share with you today.

I only used two Distress Marker colors to color in my flower, Fired Brick Distress Ink Marker and Peeled Paint Distress Ink Marker.  I pulled out the Tim Holtz Water Brush and was VERY careful to color in the petals of the flower. Since there wasn't very much coloring, it didn't take very long to dry. I was able to adhere it onto my black layering panel right away.

My polka dot paper is from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane 6" x 6" paper pad. The color matches the Fired Brick Distress Ink Marker really well.

One of the cool things I like about this card, is the fact that the sentiment fits into the Spellbinders Nested Medallion Label Dies.  I like the fact that the dies can be used for more than just one stamp set. The shape is a little different than what I normally go with.

I embossed my white panel with the Dots embossing folder.

For a touch of bling, I added the Baby Black Rhinestones.  They add a little sparkle and color without adding too much bulk to your card.

A very pretty card for anytime! Thanks Misti!

Merry Christmas Star Wreath

Hi, Diane with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog!

One of my favorite looks for Christmas is vintage and glitter. Today's card somewhat falls into that category!

I used, (as I have mentioned several times), one of my favorite Classy Cards 'n Such papers Beverly stocks in her store, Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic.  I wish you could see this in real life, as it is a wonderful weight paper with metallic that just shines!

I cut my wreath using the Memory Box Starry Wreath with a glitter paper.

For the center of my wreath, using the same paper, I cut a Cheery Lynn Designs Merry Christmas. Just by changing the words in the center of the wreath, this design could be used for many occasions, for example, wouldn't it make a great "Happy New Years" card?

My wreath was attached with Joy! Foam Pads Small behind some of the larger stars. Adding a bow and an additional star to it's center and my card was complete!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to "see you" soon!

What a cute holiday card! Thanks Diane!

Simply Feathers

Hi, Joy here, showing a feather card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.

As I was looking on Pinterest, I began to see a lot of projects made with feathers. So I started looking through the Classy Cards 'n Such items and I found some feather stamps, dies and embossing folders.  Here is a simple and quick card that could be used for a man or woman.

Isn't that embossing folder amazing!  It embosses deeply and the image just pops!

I attached the ribbon as the perfect accent to give separation between the embossing and sentiment.

The feather was stamped then cut out and popped up with pop-up glue dots.

Here is the supply list:

Embossing Folder:  Feathers by Crafts Too!
Stamp: Bird Song by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle

Check out all the feathery possibilities at Classy Cards 'n Such. Thank you for looking at my card.

Great card, so clean and easy!  Thanks, Joy!

Christmas Wonder

Hi again!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing a clean and simple (CAS) Christmas card with you.  This card came together in less than 15 minutes, and that includes the gold embossing on the ornament!

I started my card by pulling out a solid red paper from the new Traditions 6" x 6" paper pad (Authentique) and the Vintage (gold) embossing powder. I inked up the medium round ornament stamp from the Vintage Christmas Ornaments by JustRite with Versamark ink and stamped it onto the red paper. I covered the image with the Vintage  embossing powder, shook off the excess and used my heat gun to melt the powder.

Next, I pulled out the 2013 Heirloom Ornaments by Spellbinders and found the size that matched my stamped ornament. I die cut the ornament and then I did a little trick. I wanted the little hanging loop at the top of ornament, but the die cuts just slightly larger than the stamped image. I didn't want a red border around my gold ornament, so I used my scissors to cut away that tiny border, but I left the hanging loop at the top.

I assembled my card by making an A2-sized card base from deep green cardstock.  I cut a piece of the floral patterned paper from the Traditions 6" x 6" paper pad (Authentique), as well as the solid off-white paper from the same pad.  I stamped the gorgeous new sentiment from the Christmas Inner Thoughts (JustRite) on the lower end of the off-white paper and then adhered my papers to my deep green card base.

I cut a thin strip from the deep green cardstock, but I didn't adhere that yet.  First, I threaded some gold cord through the loop in my gold ornament and taped it to the back of the ornament. I affixed the ornament to the green strip using Joy! Foam Pads, Large, and then I wrapped the gold cord around the top of the green strip and taped it to the back.  Next, I glued the green strip down to my card base next to the sentiment. Lastly, I fashioned a bow from gold cord and affixed it to my ornament.

I love everything about this card.  The country looking colors, the gorgeous sentiment, the gold ornament, and the beautiful patterned paper all work together to make a vintage country Christmas card.

A gorgeous and quick holiday card! Thanks Holly!

Sanded Rustic Wreath

Hi, It's Diane here with you today, singing a little tune in my head! "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go".

Now that I have that jingle in your head, take a peek at my Christmas wreath card. Love....love this embossing folder by Spellbinders called Rustic Wreath.

Rustic Wreath may be the name for it, but in my opinion there is nothing rustic about it. I think it is pure elegance and with Christmas fast approaching, a fast, but gorgeous card is the way to go and so easy to mass produce!

I embossed my card on green Coordinations paper and lightly sanded the area around the wreath, and also heavily sanded the wreath itself as I wanted it to stand out.

I added a few red berries  with Red Baby Pearls,  a simple red bow, and this card is all but ready to mail!

I think this would a beautiful card using the Precious Metals Craft Foil by Spellbinders, too! It can't get much easier then this. A beautiful, yet fast card for the busy days ahead!!

A beautiful holiday card! Thanks Diane!

Classic Holiday Color

Hi, it's Misti!  I have a Christmas card to share with you today.

I stamped a topiary from Holiday Topiaries by Flourishes onto a piece of white cardstock.  I cut out the image using Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine, and then colored it in.  It's just my luck to get it crooked or something once it's been colored in!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color in the image using Barn Door, Forest Moss, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey and the Tim Holtz Water Brush.

The designer paper is from the Rejoice Collection pad from Bo Bunny.

I added some Old Gold - Sheer Asiana ribbon that has just enough of a shimmer to it, to make it very elegant looking!

You card is so pretty! Thanks Misti!

Hi Classy friends, it's Holly posting today.  I created this Christmas card with a masculine influence so I can send this to one of the men in my family.

I started with a brown card base and I cut a layer from vanilla cardstock.  I sponged the edges of the vanilla paper first with some brown ink and then I adhered this to my card base.  Next was a smaller layer of brown cardstock and I cut some Kraft cardstock slightly smaller.  The Kraft cardstock was sponged with brown ink and then adhered to the brown cardstock layer.

I cut my snowflakes using various dies.  I used the  Snowflake Edger (Cheery Lynn Designs) for the tiny little snowflakes. Look at the edger die and see where the tiny little snowflakes are cut out from the border?  I saved those little snowflakes and set the edger die cut aside for another use.  I also used the Snowflowers Set 1 and  Snowflowers Set 2 (Cheery Lynn Designs) for the three larger snowflakes.  The Quickie Glue Pen is perfect for adhering these tiny and intricate snowflakes.

With the snowflakes in place, I cut a small strip of vanilla cardstock and sponged the edges.  Then I used the Merry Christmas (Cheery Lynn Designs) to cut out my sentiment.  I used the smaller set and the Quickie Glue Pen to carefully adhere this to my vanilla strip.  Then this sentiment strip was adhered to my card with Joy! Foam Pads.

Great look for a masculine card! Thanks Holly!
