With Sympathy

Hello crafters, it is Shirley here today.  I have a sympathy card to share with you today. Thankfully, I do not need it, at this time. It is always harder to make them in the time of need.

I started with a white card base. I used the Marianne Anja's Large Oval to cut the outer oval from So...Silk Glamour Green card stock. This card stock is produced with silk fibers, which gives the paper a silky feel, but it has a metallic appearance to it. The picture of it does not give show the real beauty of it.

Next I used the decorative oval from the Anja's Large Oval set to cut the decorative layer.  I glued it to the outer layer using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive. I used the smaller die from this set to cut the layer for my silver embossed sentiment. I used Joy Large Foam Pads to pop up the sentiment.

I decided to pair the PoppyStamps Angel Corner die to add some decorative flair to my card. I think it goes quite well with the Anja's Large Oval. They look like they were made to go together, don't they?   I glued the white corners to the So...Silk Glamour Green card stock, and cut them out. They were glued to the corners of the card under the decorative oval as the final step to my card.

Thankfully, you did not need this sympathy card, but boy oh boy, is it ever beautiful! The silver embossing on those new dies of yours, cut in bright white, against the dark cardstock base, gives your such strength and is like a big hug! You sure know how to layer these to get the most from them!! WOW!

As always, a beautiful and elegant card. I love the shade of blue and the dies are awesome.
