Sandra - you have until 10PM Saturday, December 10th to contact me at beverly@classycardsnsuch.com to claim the $20 Gift Certificate blog candy!! Good luck!!!

I made this card a few days ago for my mom to send to a dear friend.   I started with a pink cardbase.  I embossed the white mat with the Dots embossing folder.   This folder just has a classic beauty and can be used on cards for so many different occasions.

I made the die cut using Spellbinders Lacey Ovals - another classic - from Stardream Rose Quartz cardstock.  You can find the Rose Quartz in either single sheets or in the Layering Swatches #1 Metallic Variety pack.  Be sure to look at all of the alternative views of this pack.  There are some really gorgeous papers here that are a great size for either matting or cutting medium or small die cuts.

I had not originally intended to post this card, so the rose sticker that I used is not one that I have in the shop.   However, there are similiar roses here that could easily be used for this card.  I mounted the roses on white cardstock and colored them with two shades of pink Twinkling H2Os.  The leaves are colored with green Twinkling H2Os.  So fun!!  I cut them out around the gold lines and mounted with foam pads.  I used the smallest of the Thin Gold Lines to frame the card.  Outline stickers add an elegant touch to just about any card!   If you haven't tried them, you really should.   They are VERY easy to use.

The finishing touch was two small pieces of the Finesse Swirls and I was done!

What a lovely card! The colors are beautiful; I love the gold embossing around the pretty pinks. The pearls are such an elegant touch and go so well with the dotted background. I think I am going to have to try the Twinkling H2O's after seeing how beautiful this is!
