Daisy for Someone

Hi, it's Misti to share a card with you today!  I have had the worst luck lately trying to get designer paper to match my project.  Have you ever run into that problem?

Well, I have a solution for you, Impression Obsession has some great background stamps called Cover-a-Card. There are quite a few different ones but the one I used today is the Gingham - Cover-A-Card.  I used my favorite black ink on a piece of white cardstock to create my background piece.  Can't you see it inked up in red or blue or pink or?

My main image stamp is from the new JustRite stamp set called Hello Daisy. I stamped it in black ink onto white cardstock.

I pulled out my Twinkling H2Os - Springtime. I used the colors of Buttercup for the center, and Sea Glass for the leaves and stem.  I don't know if you can see it in the photo, but it gives a nice shimmer of color to the image.

My yellow piece is Banana Split - Pop Tone cardstock.  It is a gorgeous shade of yellow!

I used the Dots embossing folder. To finish my card, I backed my pieces with black cardstock and used pieces of Joy Foam Pads to pop my image panel up.  It's all ready to go in the mail!

Your card is a wonderful way to say hello! Thanks Misti!

Girl in Orchid

Hi Classy friends, it's Holly today!

Pantone has declared this to be the year of Radiant Orchid, and I had that color in my head when I colored this adorable Sarah Kay image called Winter Warmth.

I started by stamping this sweet Stampavie Winter Warmth  onto white cardstock, and then I colored it with Copic markers. I then cut it out with an oval die and matted it with a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals, Large. This image was adhered to a white card base with large Joy! Foam Pads.

I decided to go with a White on White technique from Technique Junkies, so I added the Cheery Lynn Designs die cut Lace Corner Deco F pieces in the corners.

Some sweet little Baby Pearls - White were added to the lacy corner pieces.

I love these sweet Sarah Kay stamps. There's still a few of these left in the store, so check them out here and grab 'em while you can.

Your card has such a clean and simple look! Thanks Holly!

Floating By To Say Hi

Hello Classy Friends! Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog. This week our challenge is Raining Cats and Dogs with an "optional" umbrella!

I really thought this would be a fun challenge being the pet lover I am. Nothing is cuter then this adorable stamp I have used from Stampavie, designed by Penny Johnson, called Floating Down The River.

I colored my image with Copics and added lots of fun detail. I applied Mercury Glass stickles for the water drops, real blush for the kitties cheeks, and to bling it up a bit, Baby Rhinestones-Red on the umbrella tips!

This was one of those times when you get done with an image then you think "Now where do I go from here?" It had me stumped for awhile, then all of a sudden grass and clouds came to mind. I cut 3 "fluffy" white clouds using Memory Box  die Puffy Clouds. After cutting the clouds I embossed them with Crafts Too Dots embossing folder.

Next, I cut my  Impression Obsession Grass Border die. I used a bit of water downed Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Marker on the grass to give it a bit more dimension. I also wanted to mention that there are several more "grass dies" too choose from in the store...you can find them here.

I also used some basic supplies:

I hope I have inspired you to join in our challenge this week!

Your card is so cute and sweet! Thanks Diane!

Beloved Pet

Hi, Joy here today showing you a card made with products from my favorite store - Classy Cards 'n Such. The challenge was to make a cat or dog card with a twist - the twist was an umbrella - now that's a challenge!

This was made for a girlfriend who lost her sweet companion of 14 years.  My heart went out to her and I'm hoping this will let her know I understand how important our furry friends are.

I made the umbrella by die cutting four scallops using the scallop die from Blueprints 4 by My Favorite Things, lining them up carefully and close together. Then using an oval Spellbinders die I cut out just half the oval The handle of the umbrella is half of a paper clip.

The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental About Pets from My Favorite Things stamped on Vintage Labels Two Dies by Spellbinders.

The sentiment and the umbrella were popped up using the large Joy Foam Pads. The paper is from Double Dot Designs by Bo Bunny. The wood grain paper is from a 6x6 paper pad Vintage Bliss from Simple Stories.

This would be a great opportunity for you to challenge a friend to post a project. I often challenge my sister to join me in challenges. Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such blog and enter your project. You could win a nice gift certificate from Classy Cards 'n Such online store.
