Spring in Pink

Hello Classy Friends! Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog!! The challenge on the blog this week is Think Pink. Won't you join us?

When I was a young girl, (longer ago then we want to talk about), my favorite color was pink!!  Though not my first favorite today, (it's yellow now), I still love the girlie pinks!!

My card was created with some of the beautiful NEW things Beverly has stocked in her store.

My card base is the gorgeous Stardream Fuse Azalea metallic paper. The background paper is from a beautiful 12 x 12 double sided paper by Kaisercraft called Key To My Heart.

The leaf vine is a die by Poppy Stamps Leafy Sprig Border. Climbing up the border are tiny miniature roses. The roses were constructed using Cheery Lynn Designs Miniature Rose and painted with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Marker, Worn Lipstick and water.

The darling birdhouse is a Cheery Lynn Designs, Birdhouse With Lattice. It cuts so beautifully, that I couldn't stop at one, and cut several for further use! The birdhouse is hung with cute green twine from the Doodle Twine - Bright Assortment.  I added the little hummingbird, also a Cheery Lynn Designs found in the Tiny Things With Wings die set.

The sentiment from JustRite Nature's Nested Sentiments. (A little hint: these stamps are on clearance, very reasonable...get them before they are gone).  I mounted the stamp set on EZ Mount Static Cling Foam. It works perfectly and the set has some great sentiments.

Last, I couldn't resit making a matching envelope from the same gorgeous Kaisercraft paper used for the card.

Aren't these roses gorgeous??  Just perfect for envelopes using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

Raining Roses

Hi, it's Holly posting today!  This week's challenge on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog is Think Pink.  For my card, I went with a Valentine theme and lots of pink colors.

First of all, I stamped the adorable Wild Rose Studio Raining Roses, with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto white cardstock, and then I colored the image with Copic markers. I cut it out with an oval die and then matted it with a matching scallop oval in a pale pink cardstock.

Next, I cut some paper from the Love Letters Premium 6 x 6 paper pad by Trimcraft and adhered it to a white card base.

I affixed the sweet little bears image with Joy! Foam Pads to the center of the card.

The Valentine sentiment, from Hugs and Kisses Sentiments (JustRite), was stamped on a small strip of white cardstock and then adhered below the bears.

Last, some Mother of Pearl Rhinestones were affixed to the corners.

THINK PINK is the challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Easy - since I love pink so much. Another thing I like is tags so for this challenge this one was easy-peazy!

Supplies Used:

Key To My Heart 12 x 12

Quinn Flourish

Hugs and Kisses Sentiments

Classic Scalloped Hearts

Romantic Rectangles  (for tiny corner piece)

Doodle Twine - Bright Assortment
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad

*Before layering all the pieces I used a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad on the edges of each piece.

Tag was layered using a die cut called Quinn Flourish, cut from some of the paper from the Key To My Heart 12 x 12 paper pack. The paper was also used to cut one of the  Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts that was layered on another heart die.

The Happy Valentines Day sentiment is from the stamp set Hugs and Kisses Sentiments by JustRite, and was stamped on some pink paper from the Key To My Heart 12 x 12 paper pack.

There is a little tiny gold scallop piece behind the heart and is a corner cut from a Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die. This touch of gold gave the tag a little bright spot of interest.

The twine at the top of the tag is Doodlebug Doodle Twine (on sale right now).

CCNS Challenge #18 - Think Pink

Welcome to Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge #18!  This week we are challenging you to Think Pink. Make a  card using PINK as your focal color. White, cream and a hint of another color may be used, but just keep it mainly PINK. Have fun and get creative with your pink project!

Make a paper crafting project that is mainly pink

and of course, use a product sold at Classy Cards 'n Such!

That's it...very simple, but please read the requirements below.   Looking forward to your entries!!

2.  Theme must be followed.

What Does the Fox Say?

Hi!  Diane here with you once again with my cute little Valentine Fox card.

I am sure you all have heard the little jingle "what does the fox say"?? It seems you are seeing little foxes everywhere, wrapping paper, on shirts, ornaments and so on.

That is what gave me the inspiration for this little fellow.  He is made with one of the new line of stencils that is now in the shop at Classy Cards 'n Such. I have to admit now this is going to sound like the old "my dog ate my homework routine", but it is the truth!

When I first started out to use my Small Fox stencil, I had purchased some Metallic Copper Embossing Paste, which I used on my stencil and he was drying on my desk.  Well, I have a {crafter kitty} that at the worst moment decided to jump on my creative desk. All I can say is I now have bits of Metallic Copper Embossing Paste on my carpet. The Metallic Copper Fox will visit another day!  Enough said!

I embossed my Small Fox  onto card stock like you would normally emboss a Spellbinders die, then water colored him entirely with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink Marker Rusty Hinge, but didn't spend a lot of time filling him in, as I wanted a fur look.

After he was dry (with no cat mishap), I mounted him on a piece of Graphic 45 paper, which was popped up on an embossed background using the Dots embossing folder.

My little heart is a Spellbinders die which is included in the set Vintage Label and Banner die set.

Other products used are Joy! Foam Pads Large, and 1/2" Scor-Tape. There is a nice selection of paper here to choose from.

On a last note, what does the fox say??  On the inside of my card, it says "I love you"!!
