Shabby Chic Valentine

Hi, Diana here to share with you a card out of my comfort zone. I think the number of shabby chic cards I've made can count on one hand.  But sometimes a challenge is just that - a challenge!  So if I can play along, hope you can too!

I started with scrap paper I found that had soft coloring.

My next layer is a white die cut with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight popped up with small Joy! Foam Pads.

Next, I cut out a heart from some designer paper. I sponged it with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

I then added a strip of music Memory Box Virtuoso Music.

I took some flowers and clustered on top of the Memory Box Amira Flourish, from gold card stock and half a doily pleat folded. Instead of snipping the wire off the end of the flowers, I curled them into tendrils for more texture.

Finally a tag in gold, with a sentiment from ODBD Ornate Frame Sentiments and lots of White Pearls!

Want to plan ahead and join our weekly challenges? Just click on the Challenge Calendar label, located on the right side of the page. We would love to have you share your creative ideas! Invite your friends to play along! You could be our next Classy Cards 'n Such prize winner!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...

I'm never quite sure what is "Shabby Chic". Diana, I think your card is quite lovely whatever it is called.
