Hi, Diane here with you today! Have you ever had a card in mind, then completely gone off in another direction?
Back in December, I did a small tutorial HERE on how to color on vellum. If you saw my post on that, you will remember me mentioning it is one of my favorite techniques for coloring.
That is how this card "sort of" came about. I had intended to color the butterflies on vellum, then cut them out and go from there, but after coloring them I laid them on a piece of white card stock. They were so pretty I mounted them on a panel and used them "as is".
I first stamped Heartfelt Creations Butterfly Medley stamp set using Versamark ink onto Heavyweight Vellum then coating with White Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heat setting. Using Copics, I colored my butterflies.
Like I mentioned above, I could have cut them out using the matching Heartfelt Creations Butterfly Medley die cuts. However, you will see me doing my originally intended card at a later date!
After the coloring was done, I simply mounted (as I mentioned above) my panel on white card stock, added a few ribbons using Scor-tape 1/8".
A sentiment was stamped form Our Daily Bread Ornate Frame Sentiments. A few Lavender Pearls were added to finish.
