Resplendent Christmas

Hello, it's Gracie today! Time is flying, and it seems that it'll be Christmas before we know it! I think a good Christmas challenge is a great excuse to catch up on all those holiday cards that need to be ready on time!

This week at Classy Cards 'n Such our challenge is - Trim a Tree - use a Christmas tree with Gold and/or Silver. What an elegant and classy combination for a holiday card!

I decided to make a cleaner card this week, but of course as always you'll notice I used detailed filigree dies, which I find work great with Christmas designs.

To make my card I die cut a frame from cream embossed metallic cardstock using the Vintage Flourish Pattern set. Then I die cut a Christmas tree from the silver back of a Delicate Pastels Craft Foil by Spellbinders, with an old Christmas tree die from my stash. I also die cut two stars from the silver foil and from embossed gold paper using some new dies from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I made my card base using A2 Matting Basics A. Before adding the die cuts I attached a piece of Old Gold - Sheer Asiana ribbon vertically to the back of the cream frame. I adhered these intricate dies with Tombow Mono Multi Glue. Finally I added a little gold bow to the bottom of the silver tree.

For added inspiration please visit our blog to check out what my teammates created for the challenge this week. I invite you to link up your gold/silver Christmas creation for a chance to win a prize from the store!
