Hello
Crafty Friends! It is Shirley back with another Christmas card. We can
never have too many Christmas cards. I find that I always think I have
enough and end up having to make more.
My card today was very hard to
photograph. The gold on the packages, the door plate and the door knob
do not show up well. I tried every angle to get you a better picture.
I started my card with a white card base. I layered it with white card stock. I cut a red layer of paper from the Graphic 45 12 Days of Christmas 6" X 6" paper pad, and embossed it, so it would look like siding on the front of the house. The door was cut with the PoppyStamps Grand Madison Door die.
I used a punch for the black door knob and put a gold plate behind
it. I adhered all of the pieces of card stock to the card.
Now
it is time to start the Christmas decorations. I used a branch punch
to cut the green branches. I used glue to attach them to the door. Next, I used the PoppyStamps Blooming Poinsettia die
to cut my flower layers, and glued them to the greenery. I added three
gold beads to the poinsettia. I cut two small gold squares for the
packages and tied ribbon bows-then attached them.
I decided my door
needed a little something else and I used the Peace on Earth stamp, from
the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments, and stamped it over the door. After completing this step, I
still thought my door needed something else, so I started making garland
to go over the door. I took gold ribbon and added the poinsettia's with
gold beads and greenery using the Blooming Poinsettia die.
I am pleased you came by to look at my card. Stop back tomorrow and we will have another card to show you!
