Roses and Music

Hi, Joy here today! This week Beverly, owner of Classy Cards 'n Such, challenged us to use a music theme in our projects.  We could use die cuts, sheet music or music notes. What a fun challenge!

I stamped the Garden Rose from B Line Designs on a piece of music designer paper.  I then used Spun SugarVictorian Velvet, Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint distress ink markers by Tim Holtz to color. I love these markers. Shading is quite easy to achieve and I like the look.

Once I was done coloring my stamp design, I used a die from Spellbinders called Labels Twenty-Five to cut the music designer paper. It is layered on top of a Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die, for the background frame.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Ornate Frame Sentiments by Our Daily Bread Designs. It is stamped on a Teramo Labels die by Memory Box, which I shaded with ink using the Mini Ink Blending Tool.  This is a fabulous stamp set to add to your collection. It has so many stamps and beautiful script in several different sizes.

Dies:

Hope you have as much fun as I did meeting this music challenge.  Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Such a pretty card for a happy occasion. It would be lovely for an anniversary card also. Great job!
