Hello Classy Friends, Diane here with you today.
I have a very cheerful Spring card to share with you that I made for our challenge Garden Party.
I love the colors of this card..I call them "happy colors"!
I started with the gorgeous Stardream Serpentine Pearlized Metallic 105# cardstock. What can I say about this paper except...you will love it! A beautiful light green, metallic paper that has become a favorite!
I next used Impression Obsession Large Fence die cut. if you could see this card up close, you would notice a nice wood grain embossing on the boards. After cutting your fence, run it through your machine again, (in proper stacking order for your machine), and you get all the wonderful wood grain effect!
Next I cut two sets of Impression Obsession Hollyhocks die cut. An interesting part of this die is, it comes with four little separate flower dies you can cut to layer for a "3D" look! I colored my flowers with Copic markers in a coral color.
The Butterflies, (yes I know I use these a lot), are from Joy! Crafts. They come in a set of 3, the one I used being the smallest. I do love this
die set, the butterflies are a perfect size and shape!
I hope you will join in our weekly challenge and "WOW" us with your creations this week!
Wow, your garden is bursting with colors! Thanks Diane!

Garden Coneflowers
Hi, it's Misti here, with my card for the Garden Party - #30 challenge.
I can just imagine having a chair on the patio, a cold drink, the wind blowing through my hair and looking out into a beautiful, peaceful backyard full of flowers.
I have tried and tried to grow white gerber daisies and all I can get to grow are the pink ones, so my dream scene would have lots of white daisies!
I used Impression Obsessions Coneflowers and colored them to look like daisies. I used Peeled Paint Distress Marker and the Detail Water Brush. I found a marker that would match the cardstock I wanted to use.
I backed the image panel with a piece of black cardstock and then Banana Split cardstock.
Then I inked up the Impression Obsession Gingham Cover-A- Card with my favorite black ink. I cut it into strips and backed it with black cardstock from the Layering Swatches #2 pack. I took my white base and added a layer of the Banana Split cardstock, then white. I taped down the gingham pieces with a little space in between the two of them.
Then to my image panel, I put Joy Foam Pads pieces on each corner and popped it up. To the yellow centers, I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen and Black Pearls in each corner to finish it off.
Hope you get your white daisies! Thanks Misti!
