Perfect Refreshment

Here at the CCNS blog, our design team is a close knit family of wonderful crafters. Life gets in the way at times, and we have to say good bye to one of our family.

Jenny has made the decision to leave and spend more time with her family. We always say...family comes first. We wish Jenny all the best in everything the future holds for her and her family. Jenny, from our hearts to you, we will miss your witty emails, your funny stories, and most of all, YOU.

Love and hugs,
Diana, Diane, Joy, Mindy, Shirley
Debbie, Millicent and Beverly

Hello friends! It's Jenny posting today. Unfortunately, my non-crafting world is infringing on my time lately, and I need to scale back a little on crafting.

I'm sad to say this is my last post for the Classy Cards 'n Such blog. It's been a wonderful experience working with such an amazingly talented and supportive design team. I will miss them all greatly and I know I'll be stopping by the blog daily for new wonderful and surprising inspiration. I hope you'll join me!

I started this card by playing with my new Memory Box Distressed Addington Collage die. The card just evolved. I first cut a piece of Authentique Favorite paper with the Memory Box Distressed Addington die. This Favorite paper is so soft looking, and looking at it just made me feel relaxed. I used the die to cut the paper twice, once in the lower right corner and once in the top left.  I tried to layer this on top of an A2 white card but there wasn't enough contrast so I glued it onto Kraft paper instead. The Kraft panel was then adhered to the card front with Joy Large Foam Pads.

I cut the Memory Box Quinn Flourish circle and colored it with distress ink. The nest and bird were cut using the Memory Box Meadowbird Branch dies. There's such a nice assortment of foliage in this set. The Quinn Flourish was also adhered with Joy Large Foam Pads for additional dimension.

Last I stamped the Impression Obsession Sit in the Shade quote on the front of the card.

Thanks so much for joining me today, and for being such wonderful blog followers!  Don't forget to join in Classy Cards 'n Such's challenges for new chances weekly to win a wonderful prize or badge for your blog.  Hugs!

Close To You

Hi there, Diane with you today!

I took a slight break from my Fall creating and
made a somewhat fun and shabby chic card today.

I created my entire card around the sentiment
which I had been wanting to use for quite some time!

I started with an embossed background using an Anna Griffin Cherry Blossom embossing folder.

I cut out Spellbinders Heart Circles, then stamped Impression Obsession Why Do Birds sentiment on the top section of the die cut.

For a bit of fun I added two feathers from my supplies,
then cut Memory Box Meadowbird Branch. A few Sage Green Pearls were tucked in here and there.

For a pop of color I used a bird house from  Memory Box Birdhouse Village die. This is a great die as you receive a die for 4 different birdhouses, roofs, and a choice of a chain or stands for them. Pretty clever and a good buy!

I added the chain to my birdhouse and adhered the bow on the top of that!

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Cardinal Greetings

Good afternoon, Joy here today!

Last week, we had a challenge to use a deer on our cards. I liked the inspiration picture so much, that I made another card. This time, instead of using a deer, I used a cardinal. I love that I was able find background paper, to co-ordinate nicely with my coloring of the cardinal. Here is my card:

Don't you just love this plaid?  I love the little cardinal and used it as my inspiration. The paper is from Graphic 45 and called 12 Days of Christmas. The cardinal image is Christmas Joy, by Sweet 'n Sassy, and the sentiment is from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments.  This is a wonderful stamp set that has many small sentiments that are perfect for small spaces.

This is the perfect opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas card stash. The CCNS Design Team posts cards twice a day here, to give you more inspiration.

Have a Happy stamping day!

Tucker Love

Hi, it is Shirley posting today! I have a card to show you that is really special and cute. I have a little black Frenchie with the most adorable face. Well, I am his momma, what else could I think? I have a neighbor that says he is ugly, but I love him regardless of what she thinks.  ~grin~

I started with a black card base. I took a piece of white card stock and put the Memory Box Texture Mesh Stencil over it. I took Distress Inks and sponged over the top of it.

I used my Frenchy die by PoppyStamps, to cut three dogs out of the card stock that I had just stenciled over. I put the black card base behind it.

I cut a border using the ODBD Beautiful Borders die. I attached the border using the Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

Next I made the bow using the Sue Wilson Finishing Touches - Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow die.

To finish off my card, I added Silver Rhinestones to the border, the bow and randomly over the sponged stenciled area.

I hope you liked my card. Come back later today to see another design by one of the other Classy Cards N Such designers!

Fall is Here!

Fall is here, and I hope the weather will be cooling soon, and the leaves on the trees will be changing colors.

Mindy with you, celebrating fall today with a colorful card, featuring these leaves that will soon color the land and skies.

I aged the edges of the card base with some Antique Linen Distressed Stain, and die cut two Open Scroll Leaf die from Impression Obsession, along with the Foliage Leaf die from Spellbinders.

For the Spellbinders leaves, I mixed several colors of the Ken Oliver Color Bursts. Burnt OrangeOrange, and Yellow Ochre, on a scrap of watercolor paper before cutting the leaves. After arranging the elements in a pleasing design, I added a sentiment from the I am Thankful stamp set from Impression Obsession.

There is still time to join our weekly challenge on the blog. Join us and be eligible to win a wonderful prize from Classy Cards 'n Such.

All Things Beautiful

Hello, Diana today combining some of my favorite toys.

I started with the large stitched die from MFT Blueprints 13 die set, and cut the Kraft card stock with it. I embossed the Kraft with a Sizzix wood grain embossing folder.

Next, I used a stamp from the ODBD Faith stamp set, and cut it with the bracket tag die from MFT Blueprints 13.

I then added the leaves from the Impression Obsession Small Leaf Set. I popped up the leaves with Joy! Small Foam Pads, and tied it with some twine.

I also made a tiny bow using the Bow Easy and glued it on with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

That's it for today! We hope you will take our challenge each week!
