You're the Best

Good morning!  Joy here today showing you a card that I made this week using supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

First was to emboss a piece of cardstock using the folder called Quilt Blocks by Darice.  Then I sponged on a little color using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool.  The stitched khaki color rectangle base was die cut using My Favorite Thing's Blueprints 13.  The sentiment  from Stampavie called Sweet Wishes was heat embossed using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Brown Fizz Embossing powder - it has a pretty sparkle and shine that I tried to capture with my camera.  The sentiment was popped up using Small Joy Foam Pads.   You might take the opportunity to check out the sale at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a Happy Stamping day!

UH Oh-Ouch!!!

Good Morning.   It is Shirley posting today.   I have made a cute country themed card to share with you and hopefully it is one that will bring a smile to the recipient.

My card was started with a black card base.  The next layers I used were made with paper from the Graphic 45 French Country paper pad.

I stamped the little wounded chicken from the Sweet n' Sassy Get Well Critters stamp set.  He was colored with markers and then cut out with the Sweet n' Sassy Get Well Critters dies.

I stamped a tree on a white piece of card stock that was cut with a stitched die.  I added grass and sponged in some clouds.  I added a couple of sentiments from the stamp set.  I then put Joy Foam Pads Small on the little chick to pop him up on the card stock.  I added a bow for the finishing touch.

Thanks for taking a peek at my card.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Love You, Sweet Pea

Hi friends, Mindy with you today sharing a Valentine's Day themed card using one of the NEW Stacy Stamps floral images available in the Classy Cards 'n Such Online Store, as my focal point and several leftovers from previous cards as accents.

I started with the Ornate Frame Embossing Folder by Darice as my background. I then stamped the Sweet Pea stamp from Stacy Stamps on white card stock and colored it with watercolor markers before adhering it with foam tape to give dimension to the front of my card. I then added a banner stamped with a Valentine message from my stash, and decorated the card front with the inside remaining hearts from my Heart of Hearts die from Impression Obsession that I used on my previous challenge card. I also added a few sequins here and there to give the card a little sparkle.

I usually save my negative images from the die-cuts to use in future cards. I love to use, reuse, and recycle various embellishments and use them in my card making when I can. Have a wonderful day, and be sure to check to the Classy Cards 'n Such Online Store for special prices available this week.

Faith

Hello!  Diana here today to share a monochromatic card.  I needed a green card today because I'm so ready for spring to come!

I started by trimming a piece of white card stock with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.  I then sponged some Mowed Lawn in a small area.  After it dried, I taped my layer to the Memory Box Textured Mesh stencil and added Dreamweaver's white embossing paste with a palette knife. I then set that aside to dry and started die cutting Memory Box Bamboo Shoots and the Faith word die out of green card stock.

When I tested in on the card, it was a little plain so I added ultra thick embossing powder to my die cuts and it instantly gave it more polish and oomph. Much better, don't you think?

For the inside of my card, I added another bamboo shoot die cut as well as a sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps The Future set.

Thanks for looking!

Vintage Valentine

Good Morning, friends. Mindy with you today.  Our challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such is using Neutrals for your card or project.  Neutral or natural colors are usually considered earth tone colors. Using this monotone color palette is so much fun, and really makes for a classy looking card. I hope you enjoy this beautiful card suitable for weddings, birthdays and even Valentine's Day!

I think my card looks vintage with the white and off white shades of card stock I used for the layers and dies. I used four different heart shaped dies for the Valentine theme of my card.

I used:
Heart Flourish by Impression Obsession,
Heart of Hearts  by Impression Obsession,
Conversation Heart Block by Impression Obsession, and
Love You Heart by Impression Obsession.

Using the darker beige card stock I cut the Heart of Hearts die, and let the light beige stock of my card base show through.  All of the little innies pieces were saved for additional add-ons later.  I then cut the Heart Flourish and Love You Heart dies and adhered them over the top of the background to cover the front of the card.  I used my favorite clear glue, Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive, to adhere the many layers of die-cuts and tiny heart shapes, then added foam tape to the background stock to give the card dimension. A heart shaped pearl button was attached to the center of the Heart Flourish to finish the card.

I hope you have enjoyed this card.  It shows that with just a few dies, a few different shades of card stock, and an embellishment or two, you can make a classy card look elegant and festive.

Hello

Hello Classy Friends!  This week our challenge is to use a neutral palette.  We have a beautiful inspiration photo to get you started!

I decided to go with totally cream colors.  Using the inspiration photo for guidance, (click on the current challenge tab on the right of the blog to see photo).

I embossed a cream panel with Darice Quilt Blocks embossing folder.  This has to be one of my most favorite folders to date!

Next I cut a heart from Spellbinders Lace Hearts.  To achieve the heart shown, I used two hearts from the set, one inside the other, then cut...pretty isn't it?

Next I cut Impression Obsession Bird On a Branch from Authentique 6 x 6 paper pad Faith.  This pad has a beautiful collection of neutral papers.

I finished by adding a sentiment held by a tiny clothespin
and added a few gold Dew Drops.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
