Sending Cheer

Hi, it's Misti today!

I planted all kinds of flowers in early spring with high hopes of a beautiful garden.  Then we got the notice that we had outside water restrictions. Top that off with very little rain this summer and my beautiful garden didn't happen.  I'm still hopeful to be able to try again this fall! Thankfully, flower cards aren't as high maintenance!  LOL

Supplies Used:
Blueprints 3 by My Favorite Things
Chrysanthemum by Flourishes
Dots embossing folder by Crafts Too!
Tim Holtz distress marker: Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw
Detailer Water Brush
Seam Binding - Eggshell

The card started off with a white card base. Next layer would be black cardstock to make the yellow polka dot paper pop from the Summer Fresh 6 x 6 paper pad. I like how this piece of yellow polka dot paper matches the Scattered Straw marker. I love matchy-matchy!!!  *grin*

I used the Dots embossing folder on the black piece of cardstock to add a little more texture.

I stamped the Chrysanthemum and colored the flower with the Scattered Straw distress marker.  The stem of the flower was colored with the Peeled Paint distress marker.

Finally, I added the ribbon to the card and sentiment. The tag is from the Blueprints 3.

This card is fairly quick and easy to make. You could change the coloring of the flower and the base black cardstock for a whole different look!

Love your card, Misti!!  Thanks!!!

So pretty! Love your black accents against the yellow polka dot background!
