Elegant Thanks

Hello!  It's Diana with you today.  For the neutrals challenge this month, I made a thank you card using Sue Wilson Spanish Collection - Seville DieThanks die by Elizabeth Craft Designs, and a trimmed butterfly from the Memory Box Fairyland butterflies.  I kept my palette neutral using white and gray cardstock.  The flowers are white and ivory.  I did use ultra thick embossing powder on my Thanks to add dimension and shine.  The Sue Wilson Dies were also popped up with small Joy! foam pads to emphasize the lacy cutouts.

We've made it easy for you to find our future challenges!  Click  on the Challenge Calendar tab on the right side of the blog. All of the challenges are listed through February 2016!

White Lace Hearts

Here is a card I made for the Classy Cards 'n Such challenge #121-make a card using neutral colors.

I started my card with a white card base.  I used the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die to cut the next layer.   I used the Crafts Too Dots Embossing Folder on the white rectangle.   This is my favorite and most used embossing folder in my collection.   It really gives my cards an elegant look.

I added a piece of heart lace across the front of the card.  I used the Spellbinders Lace Hearts to cut the elegant heart.  I used Joy Foam Pads Small to pop the heart up over the lace.  I added white swirled pearls around the lace heart.  I cut the key, that is also from the Lace Heart Dies, from an old thank you card that had not been used. I liked the paper as it was not a real shiny silver and it is not completely silver.  I did not want a shiny silver because it would take away from the beauty of the white card.  I used the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts die to cut the heart that is placed over the key and embossed it with the Dots embossing folder.  The key was popped up using Joy Foam Pads Small.

Another Valentine!

Good morning! Joy here with another Valentine Card - going to one of my grandkids.  The supplies for this card can be found at the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

The sentiment and circle frame is from JustRite's Hugs & Kisses.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Fine Gold Detail Embossing Powder.   The circle and last rectangle layer were cut out using Gold Mirricard.  The rectangle layer was dry embossed with Anna Griffin's Juliet Damask folder.  Last of all I popped up the circle sentiment using some Large Joy Foam Pads.

I have just a few more Valentine cards to make - I'll post them soon.  Thanks for looking at my card - have a Happy Stamping Day.

Beautiful Scraps

Good Morning!    It is Shirley posting today with a  card I made from beautiful scraps.  The  mathematics tip for the day is six to seven pieces of scrap designer paper equals one pretty card.  I hope you you think so too...

I started with a Ivory card base.   I started adding layers and scraps of the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea designer paper. I love all Graphic 45 papers.  Even when you are down to little bitty scraps, you can still make lots of pretty cards.   I used a scalloped border punch on the edges of the scraps.

The sentiment I stamped on the vanilla card stock is a stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Keep In Touch set.

I cut the pretty flowers using the Memory Box Tall Chloe Stem die.   I used Joy Foam Dots to pop the flowers up on the card.  I cut a piece of beaded ribbon to place over the stems.  Another scrap that I used for the card today.

Thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my card.  I hope you were able to find inspiration to use some of your beautiful scraps.  Have a great weekend.

Morning Glory

Welcome friends, Mindy with you sharing a watercolor card using one of the New Framed Flowers stamps by Stacy Stamps.

I stamped the image Morning Glory by Stacy Stamps on watercolor paper and colored the image with some Copic and some watercolor markers.  I then embossed accent lines around the image with my Scor-Buddy scoring tool and bone folder, accenting the edges of my watercolor paper. I then adhered a background paper embossed with the Mini Fans Embossing Folder by Crafts Too to my card base, then my Morning Glory image as the top layer.  A single layer bow and tag with sentiment from God's Purpose Stamp Set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps completed the card.

I love these little watercolor images, they make great accents for classy cards and there are several to choose from.  Have a great week, and create a card to join in our weekly challenge.
There is still time to join our Classy Cards 'n Such challenge. Click on the Current Challenge tab on the right side of the blog for all the details. Come and join the fun!

Fairyland Butterflies

Hi! Diana here with a simple yet striking card. I really like the dramatic effect of black against an abstract background.

To create my background, I smooshed some different colors (Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac, and Broken China) and spread them on a watercolor sheet using clear cardstock. I then die cut the Memory Box Fairyland Butterflies out of black cardstock and used Ultra Thick Embossing Powder on the entire die cut. It made the butterflies dimensional and shiny.

I then trimmed the watercolor sheet to fit on a black card base, leaving a strip of black to show through. I also glued some clear dew drops to add to the watercolor look.

Thanks for looking!
