Red Bike card

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today! It's summertime in Texas and that means it's time for more outdoor activities.  We're seeing a lot of folks riding bikes, now that the crazy winter weather is finally over.

For my card today, I die cut the bike from the Bicycle Die Cut Set by Impression Obsession, and then stamped the matching bike from the Riding Pretty cling stamp set, also from Impression Obsession, right onto the die cut.  I also cut the flower bunch from the same Bicycle Die Cut Set and then stamped the matching flower bunch from the Riding Pretty cling stamp set. I colored the bike and the flowers with Copic markers and then set them aside.

Next, I sponged some soft blue ink over the Memory Box Texture Mesh Stencil, onto some white cardstock.

I cut some green paper into some rolling hill shapes and adhered them at the bottom of the stenciled piece, and then I adhered this to a soft blue card base.  The bike was glued onto the rolling hills and then I affixed the flowers so they were spilling out of the basket on the bike.  Last, I stamped the sentiment from Pinwheels and Popsicles, by Flourishes, near the top of the card.

What a neat card for anyone's birthday! Thanks Holly!

Wedding Iris Bouquet

Hi! It's Misti, with a wedding card to share with you today.

My closest friend's son is getting married soon.  My card uses their wedding colors.

The stamp set is Botanical Medallions and Banners by JustRite. I used the decorative medallion with white embossing powder and then cut it out using the biggest Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallion Label Dies.

Because their colors are purple I used the Iris stamp in the oval and colored it in.  I didn't have any purple designer paper, so I looked through my stuff until I came across the Delicate Pastels Craft Foil paper pack from Spellbinders. There is a purple piece in there! Woo Hoo! The light makes that paper just pop!

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Crafts Too Garden Flowers embossing folder, and layered it on the purple foil. I added White Baby Pearls to the centers of each flower.

I used a piece of Iridescent White Flowers lace.  The shimmer on it just adds a nice sparkle to the card.  I used Joy Foam Pads to my image panel to put it on the card.

Lovely card for a wedding! Thanks Misti!

Silk and Butterflies

Hello Classy Friends!

This week at Classy Cards 'n Such our challenge is Lilac Festival. Make a paper project using lavender, purples and neutral colors.

For my challenge card, I chose to make a round shaped card. I first cut a base from a Spellbinders basic circle die. I cut my top layer using a Spellbinders Heart Circles die.

I didn't stop there as I stenciled the die cut using a Memory Box Texture Mesh stencil. I sponged on two colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink, first a lighter color Shaded Lilac, then went back over here and there, and sponged with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord. To sponge on my colors, I used the new Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool. I love how the background looks on this card!

I added three various size butterflies using Joy! Crafts Butterfly Trio dies, cut from the gorgeous So Silk Fabulous Purple 130# card stock!

I added Purple Baby Pearls to my butterflies. To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment from the JustRite stamp set Hello Daisy.

I would love to see you join us in our challenge this week!

Your card looks fabulous! Thanks Diane!

Inspired Teaching

Hi, it's Joy today, and it's time for another wonderful challenge from Classy Cards 'n Such.  This week it is called Lilac Festival.  The challenge is to use lilac, lavender, purple or purple colors with neutrals of cream and white.

I had the opportunity to attend a workshop in California called The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape. This is an event that has been held every year for the last 13 years. Great paper artists lead the workshops. This year Pam Sparks, one of the designers and instructors for Memory Box dies, taught a few classes, and inspired this card.

I used the Memory Box dies called Beach Sprig, Rhone Butterfly Wings, Pavilia Bloom Background with the Pavilia Bloom Outline, and Massa Leaf Frame.

I lightly stenciled a chevron background with a Tim Holtz (Evergreen Bough) Seasonal Ink, which are on sale at Classy Cards 'n Such. I made a spritz of a Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Stain in a Spritzer Bottle, and spritzed it on top of the chevron background.

I added White Baby Pearls to the ends of the Beach Sprig, and to the sequin centers. I did not add a sentiment on the outside, so this will go in my "any occasion" stack of cards.

Thanks for looking at my card - be sure to check out all the Memory Box dies at Classy Cards 'n Such. Just looking will inspire you!  Have a happy stamping day!

Wow, great inspiration and a beautiful card! Thanks Joy!
