Pink Bike card

Hi everyone, it's Holly posting today!  I have a whimsical card to share with you, and I have to admit, the pink bike just makes me smile!

I started this card with a Kraft card base and I added a layer of green gingham paper from the Prairie Chic by Bo Bunny paper pad.  Next, I cut another sheet of paper from the same pad, but the pattern was a bit too busy. What to do?

I pulled out the Texture Mesh stencil and laid it over the multicolored paper.  Then I applied some white embossing paste to the holes in the stencil with a Palette Knife.  As soon as I was done, I peeled the stencil off and immediately washed the stencil and palette knife.  I set the stenciled paper aside to dry completely for an hour.

While that was drying, I cut out the Brand New Bicycle die with pink paper.

I also stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Wishes by
Stampavie onto Kraft cardstock, and then I cut out the notches on both sides with scissors.

When the stenciled paper was dry, I very lightly dabbed some pink ink randomly over the dry embossing paste.  I then adhered this to my card, added a dark blue strip (also from the Prairie Chic by Bo Bunny paper pad ), adhered the sentiment, and then adhered the pink bike above the sentiment.

I love how you can still see the patterned paper through the white embossing paste, but it is muted and toned down.  This also gives the card a great texture without being overwhelming.

What a cute card for anyone! So colorful!! Thanks Holly!

Easter Blessings

Hi, it's Misti with a card to share with you today. Can you believe it's time to be thinking about Easter cards? It just doesn't seem possible to me, this year is flying by so fast!

I used the stamp from the Easter Blessings stamp set by Our Daily Bread.  I colored it in with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Marker using the Detailed Water Brush. The flowers are white, so I used the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to give them a little dazzle.

Cut the Floral Ovals die by Spellbinders.  It took the largest one to get the whole image on there.  Don't forget to use the Cuttlehug to get into the intricate places!

Then I took a piece of green cardstock and used the Crafts Too! Scrollworks embossing folder. I put the Eggshell Seam Binding from the top to the bottom of the card. I attached the green cardstock to my white card base.

Then I added some White Baby Pearls to the image panel. Added a few pieces of Joy! Foam Pads to my image panel and attached it to the seam binding.  I made a bow with another piece of seam binding and attached it with a piece of foam.

I hope your Easter is a blessed one!

Your card is cute, clean and classy! Thanks Misti!

Cute Little Easter Chick

Hello Classy Friends, Diane here today with my cute little Easter chick card, I created for this weeks challenge Easter Inspirational Sentiment.

To start my card, I used the gorgeous Stardream Serpentine Pearlized Metallic paper. I can't say enough about these papers, except once you try them, you will want them in all the colors available!

I used the Darice Doily Lace embossing folder. Next layered my stamped Impression Obsession Chick on top, popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Large. The image was stamped on Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Small. I used Copics to color the image, except I paper pieced the chick using the Bo Bunny Soft Shades Double-Dot Designs.

Once the image was colored, I added Clear Glitter Pen Wink of Stella here and there.  If you tilt the card slightly it has a nice shimmer on the flowers, stem and  chick.

Your card is so cute along with a great sentiment! Thanks Diane!

He Has Risen!

Hi, Joy here today posting a challenge card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.
The challenge was to do an Easter card with an inspirational sentiment.  Easter is a big family time for us and is an important part of our spiritual lives so this card was a pleasure to make.

I used Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Gold Detail embossing powder for the flower stamp from B Line Designs, that is called Garden Rose.

The butterfly is from the stamp set called Black-Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five.

The images were stamped, matted on the Decorative Labels Eight, and a ribbon tied around it. Then this was popped up with the large Joy Foam Dots on a piece of gold embossed card stock.  Finally the layers were matted on a lighter piece of lavender card stock.

I hope you have a special Easter celebrating our Christ's resurrection.

Thank you for looking at my card, have a HAPPY stamping day.

Your card is just perfect for Easter! Thanks Joy!

Easter Inspiration

Hello Classy Friends!

Diane here with you today, to show you my project I did for our new challenge this week, Easter Inspirational Sentiment. Make an Easter sentiment your focal point. I hope you will join us for our challenge this week!

It's hard to believe that we are already into April and Easter is just a few weeks away. As I write this, it is still rather dreary and cool here, but I can overcome that
by using a few of my new Spring items I have purchased from Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

I started off with a basic white card stock and embossed it with  Crafts-Too Dots embossing folder.

I used Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight, layered to stamp my Easter sentiment on.

The sentiment  I used is from Flourishes. Though this exact one is not stocked in the store, there are plenty of other  from Flourishes you can find here. There are many more lovely Easter stamp sets, including JustRite's pretty Easter Blessing Oval Medallions, and Our Daily Bread Easter Blessings to name a few!

The purple background paper on my Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight die is the Bo Bunny Soft Shades Double Dot Designs. I love this paper!

I next cut 3 sets of Memory Box Dancing Tulips colored with a few Copics. Lastly I added a bow and my card was complete!

A few other items used in the making of my card are:

1/2" Scor-tape to mount my die cuts with.

Thanks for stopping to see the projects this week! I hope to see you at our challenge this week. Next week (April 14th) our challenge will be Die Cuts on your project!

Your card is simply beautiful! Thanks Diane!
