Love those doily dies!!!!

Have you seen the new doily dies by Cheery Lynn Designs?  They are so pretty!!  I wanted to share some cards I recently made with them.  There are currently three of the designs in the shop, however, the Italian Flourish sold out in a hurry!  I will be placing an order this week, so order yours now!  The other two dies are the English Tea Party, which is a little larger, and French Pastry.   All three are wonderfully detailed and fun to use!   The manufacturer recommends using the metal Cuttlehug - either large or small - depending on the size of your doily.  My personal choice is the larger Cuttlehug so that you can use it with either size, but we stock the smaller one as well if the smaller designs are more to your liking.

And don't forget those beautiful butterfly dies - three to a package and in two sizes, mini and small.  I'll be showing them in a future post.

The foil papers used on these three cards is the Foil Paper - Textured Patterns 3.  It's really beautiful!!  However, it sold out before I could post it to the shop, but I'm reordering this week.  Order yours now!!   Also watch for other color and texture combos of the same type of paper.

And...last but not least...you asked for a monthly percent off discount code.   I've set up the June code as June40off.  You will receive 40% off the highest priced item (one item only) in the Paper, Vellum and Diecuts section.  It can only be used one time during the month of June and cannot be used with any other coupon.  As most of you know, I'm still learning about the website and blog.   So if it doesn't work properly, please let me know and I will manually adjust your invoice.  As I learn more, the coupon may work differently, but for now, it will be for a particular product category. The code is valid from June 1-30.  Enjoy!!!

For the Graduate

Wow!   It's been over a month since I have posted.   What's that saying about the best laid plans??  We were really busy over the last several weeks preparing for the open house last Saturday.  It was a very successful and fun day with lots of friends and family stopping by.   Thanks to all who came!!!

The Exotic Butterfly die cuts, mini and small, from Cheery Lynn Designs that we were expecting for the open house arrived this afternoon!!!   Since they didn't make it to the open house, I'm putting them on sale for 20% off through 5/31/11.  Shipping charges will apply unless you make arrangements for pickup.   PLUS, everything on the website is 10% off (see the home page for the coupon code).   What a deal!!!   Quantities are limited, so hurry!

Watch for June sales and new products.   I asked what you wanted in the survey at the open house and I'm doing my best to listen!  It may take a little time, but keep your comments coming!

Because I'm behind, I'm planning to post several times over the next few days to catch up.    Today, I want to share some graduation cards that Linda and I have made.

Never Be Afraid...

This card is my first ever challenge entry!   This week's Our Daily Bread Challenge ODBDSLC57 is to use no coloring.  How easy is that???   The Never Be Afraid sentiment by Corrie Ten Boom in the As You Graduate ODBD set has been a favorite since the day I read it.  I hope it speaks to you as much as it does to me.

The card base is our new Pearlized Cocoa.  It has a subtle sheen to it and is really pretty!   The May Arts ribbon has just been added to the Classy Cards 'n Such online shop and is already a ribbon I love to use!  All of the colors are in stock and just waiting to adorn your creations.  The Lacey Ovals are among Spellbinders newest releases and just add elegance!  The Smokey Brown Rhinestones are a little hard to see in the photograph but are the flower centers in the lower right corner.  The Finesse Swirls are just icing on the cake!  Links to all of our products are in the supply list below.

Supplies used

Bling - Finesse Swirls, white, Brown Smokey Rhinestones by Want2Scrap
Ink - Antique Linen Distress Ink, Chestnut Roan Color Box Fluid Chalk

   Spellbinders - Lacey Ovals
Stamps - As You Graduate by Our Daily Bread Designs
Other - Foam dots, Grand Calibur

We are working on Mother's Day cards to share so I'll be back in the next few days with that.   Have a blessed Sunday!
