Chris' Flower Challenge

This is Chrissy D here. Welcome to the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog! Today I am sharing my CHALLENGE CARD! This week's challenge is FLOWERS! I tried to use flowers on every part of my card! Beverly has such a beautiful variety of flower papers3-D Art, stamps, dies and flowers - so much to choose from!!

I hope you will join us. You can see the entire Design Team's challenge cards HERE.

Here are the details for my card. I created a Criss Cross Card with 2 sheets of light blue cardstock. Each cardstock measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I layered the Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection patterned papers on the blue card stock.

Using the JustRite Botanical Butterflies set I stamped in chocolate ink and colored with Copic colors Y21, Y11, Y26, G21, G24, YG17.

I used the following dies and cut them out using my die cut machine in brown, pale yellow and vanilla cardstock: Large Circles Spellbinders, Blossoms Three, and Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish. Using pop dots, I added dimension by putting the dots between the layers of chocolate and vanilla cardstock.

Once everything was adhered together, I added some Gold Stickles to jazz it up a bit more. Using mini glue dots, I adhered the Tea Roses Latte flower and added a few Wild Orchid Flowers and leaves to the side to create more balance.

I created a pocket for my card with celery cardstock measuring 3 3/4" x 5" and added a white layer measuring 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". I stamped the flower spring on the corners and colored them with B21, G21 Copic markers. Using a rounded tab punch, I added a pull tab and attached it to the top portion using a 1/16th" hole punch and gold brad.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Please join us in our challenge!   We would love to see you participate!

Holly's Flower Challenge

Hello!  It's Holly posting today, and this is the card I created for the second challenge on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.  This challenge is all about flowers, so I've gone a little flower-crazy on this card.  :-)

Before I list the steps in creating this card, the products from Classy Cards 'n Such that I used are:

Twinkling H2Os - Think Pink collection  (I used Hopeful Honeysuckle, Lucky Apple, and Luv-U-Pink)

Here are the steps I used to create this card:
1.  Stamp  Rabbit in Watering Can  with black ink onto white cardstock.  Trim cardstock to 3" x 3.75".  Color rabbit and watering can with Copic markers.
2.  Add a drop of water to each of the three  Twinkling H2O pots  (Hopeful Honeysuckle, Lucky Apple, and Luv-U-Pink).  Using a watercolor brush or aquapainter, swirl brush into Hopeful Honeysuckle paint and apply to the tulips.
3.  Clean the brush, dip it into the Lucky Apple paint and apply to the leaves.
4.  Clean the brush, dip it into the Luv-U-Pink paint and apply to the tiny flowers.  Set image aside to dry, clean the brush.
5.  Cut blue cardstock to 8.5"x5.5" and fold in half to create card.
6.  Cut white cardstock to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", run through a die cut machine with a faux embossing folder (special technique from Technique Junkies).
7.  Wrap  ribbon  around the front of the white cardstock, tape to the back, and cut off excess.
8.  Cut blue cardstock to 3 1/8" x 3 7/8".  Adhere the stamped & colored rabbit image to this blue cardstock.  Adhere to card.
9.  Cut 7 or 8 strips of tissue paper to fit the  Miniature Rose die, tape together on the ends, and die cut with the Miniature Rose die.
10.  Pull the tissue paper roses apart and stagger the petals.  Put a jeweled brad through the center.
11.  Using a watercolor brush, paint the tissue paper flowers with Luv-U-Pink paint and set aside to dry.  (You may need to add more water to the H2O pot.)
12.  When tissue paper flowers are dry, adhere to card.

Thanks, Holly!!   This card is so versatile!   How about Easter, thinking of you, birthday and more!!

Debbie's Flower Challenge

Today's card was made with some great items from Classy Cards 'n Such.  The items that came from this great little online store are ... First, let me tell you, the service at the store is wonderful!  You order and you receive it so fast that it will surprise you!  I had to return something and they were just great about it.  I was so excited on one of their sales that I bought something I already had.

Now back to the items on this card that you can buy at  Classy Cards 'n Such.  The stamp is called Rabbit in Watering Can from Stampavie.  The next item is the saying and that came in a set called Cardinal Family from Heartfelt Creations.  Yes, there is more!

The embossing folder is called Leaves from Crafts Too! and there is more.... You need to laugh because I sound like one of those ads on TV.  The Spellbinder die cut is called Big Scalloped Ovals Large.  You need to hurry on this one as it is on clearance.   And still there is more!  The flower is also sold at the store and it is from Prima called Tea Rose Latte.

Can you believe all the great different items you can buy there???

I stamped the  Rabbit in Watering Can with Memento Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I cut out the image using the large scalloped oval die from Spellbinders. Then I mounted this on another Spellbinders die.

The background paper was  just embossed with the  Leaves  embossing folder. Because of the size of the card, I had to put the paper through twice.  I layered the green paper onto a layer of pink, wrapped it with a piece of lace and then layered the rabbit image over it.  The saying was stamped on white and cut out with a die. The flower was added last.

Make sure you stop by the Challenge blog post and play with us!  There is a great prize!!

Botanical Butterflies

Here's a pretty card from Debbie!

I stamped the Botanical Butterflies on white paper and colored the image with Copic markers.  The butterflies are cut out using a circle Spellbinder die.  Then using pink paper,  I cut out the Spellbinders Butterfly Circle, and set it aside.  For my background, I randomly stamped a butterfly from the  Botanical set  starting with the lightest color of dye ink.  Then I repeated stamping the butterfly with the medium color, and again with the darkest color.  This is a great way to make a quick background!

I mounted the background on a pink and a maroon cardstock.  I also stamped the saying from the  Botanical Butterflies set  and mounted on the Fancy Tag
I cut the Fanciful Flourish out of a scrap of Christmas designer paper to add a little extra interest.

The I assembled the card.  adding ribbon on which to mount the  Fancy Tag.  I also cut a  piece of the  Fanciful Flourish  and put it under the  Fancy Tag.

Thanks!!!

Supplies
Other - Dye ink three different shades, black Memento ink, paper, Copic markers, ribbon, double stick tape

Thanks, Debbie!!!  There are still a couple of days for you to enter our first challenge.   It's sooo easy!!!  Anything goes!!!   All of the details are here.

Linda's Challenge Card

The mat paper I used for this card was Stardream Fuse Vista and the design paper was from the Glitz Vintage Blue Paper Pad.  These mats were adhered with 1/4" Scor-tape.   The top die is from the Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 set and the bottom die I used was the small die from the Spellbinders Labels 18.  However, any Spellbinders Label Beverly has in the Classy Cards 'n Such Shop could be used.

I stamped sentiments from the JustRite Birthday Sentiments and embossed them with an antique embossing powder.  I think it looks really pretty on the blue paper.  I popped these sentiments up using foam dots.  I used the Cheery Lynn Tropical Flourish for some added interest and some pewter pearls for a little bling.

Debbie's Challenge Card

I started the card by coloring the digital image by Marla Shega with Copic markers,  then trimmed  with scissors.  One of the tricks I use when I cut out an image with scissors is to always leave some white even when I do not want to.  Then I carefully go around the outside cut edge with a black marker.  This will help to hide the white edges.
Next I stamped the Old Friends saying, Remember when Life was Simple, using black ink and cut it out using a round die cut.  Then I stamped the outer pink ring with pink ink and used a scalloped die to cut this out.  Then all I did was arrange the parts of the card.

I used a doily that I got at a restaurant and taped it down. They had the hot drinks sitting on them so I asked if I could have some.  You never know where you can pick up some fun stuff!

Next I added the Heart Within My Heart die cut.  This is an awesome die cut. I just know you will love it!  This I chose to glue down.  Make sure you choose glue that dries clear. The next layer was the  digital image and the saying.  The finishing touch was adding the rose in the corner.

Supplies
Die cuts - Heart Within My Heart Cherry Lynn designs, round die cut,
                 scalloped die cut
Flowers - Prima Tea Roses Latte
Other - Digital image by Marla Shega, doily, glue, double stick
tape, paper, Copic markers, black ink, pink ink

Thanks, Debbie!!!  There is still time for each of you to enter our first challenge!   All of the info is on this post.

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...

Chris' Challenge Card

Hello Everyone,

This is Chrissy D here. Welcome to the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog! Today I am sharing my CHALLENGE CARD! This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES! I hope you will join us. You can see the entire Design Team's challenge cards HERE.

Here are the details for my card.  It measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" using green Core'dinations cardstock, layered with peach Core'dinations and soft yellow cardstock that is smooth.   I ran it through with a Cuttlebug folder called Dots Embossing Folder.

I used the Blossom Three die and cut out four layers using the varied sizes.  Using the Crafter's Tools, I curled the edges and then sponged them using peach ink.   I added foam pads to add a bit of dimension between the layers.  I cut out the Fanciful Flourish in the same green Core'dinations cardstock.

Using the Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White, I added some small dots in the center of the flower and along the bottom of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Just Rite  Botanical Butterflies stamp set on to the Ribbon Banners Die.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thank you for stopping by!

Chris

Holly's Challenge card

Howdy folks!  It's Holly posting today, and this is the card I created for the very first CCNS Challenge.  The following products from the Classy Cards 'n Such store were used on this card:

1.  Fold 8.5" by 5.5" navy cardstock in half to make card base.
2.  Cut blue floral paper from the Vintage Blue (Glitz) paper pack to 5.25" by 4".
3.  Cut white cardstock to 5-3/8" by 4-1/8".  Adhere blue floral paper to white cardstock.
4.  Wrap some White seam binding around the bottom part of the blue floral paper, tie with a small bow.
5.  Cut one Fanciful Flourish from white cardstock, adhere toward the bottom of the blue floral paper.
6.  Stamp "Birthday Wishes" sentiment from JustRite Birthday Sentiments set with navy ink on white cardstock.
7.  Cut sentiment out with a circle die (Spellbinders).  Sponge some navy ink around the edges.
8.  Cut navy scallop circle from navy cardstock with a scallop circle die (Spellbinders).
9.  Adhere sentiment circle to navy scallop circle.  Adhere to blue floral paper directly over the Fanciful Flourish.
10.  Cut a butterfly from white cardstock using an Exotic Butterfly Small die.
11.  Adhere to upper part of blue floral paper, apply some Star Dust Stickles to the wings, let it dry.
12.  Adhere the blue floral paper/white cardstock layer to the navy card base.

This is a fun and easy card to put together.  The only part that is hard is having enough patience to wait for the Stickles to dry on the butterfly.  :-)

Be sure to check out the challenge that was posted on Friday, Feb. 10.  We'd love to see what you create!

Thanks, Holly!!

* Just a note about the seam binding.   The seam binding that I have labeled Eggshell appears more white, while the seam labeled Chalk White that I carry appears more eggshell in color.

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Until next time...
