Floral Fancy

Mindy with you today, sharing a card I made recently for a dear friends birthday.

As you may well have noticed, I love flowers of all types to stamp on cards and color. When I saw this Iris set by Our Daily Bread Designs, I knew I must purchase it from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

I started by cutting an A2 size card background from Pink Lemonade card stock, and dry embossing it with the Vintage Flowers embossing folder by Crafts Too!  Using the Spellbinders Oval set, I cut out an oval from the embossed piece and adhered the frame unit to a card front of the same color using Joy! Large Foam Pads.

In the center of the oval opening, I stamped the Iris flower image, and Happy Birthday sentiment with green Memento ink. You can color in the image with any media you like, I used the Pitt Artist Pens from Faber-Castell because they have very, very fine points.

To add sparkle and shine to the card, I used a gemstone and ribbon set from Prima to add that special touch around the opening of the oval. You could use the bling borders in the store under Bling: Swirls, Brackets and More. Many of those have different sizes of gemstones.

Thank you for visiting with me today, and I hope you enjoy your stamping time!

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for our next challenge! We are going to be decorating trees for our CCNS #57 Trim A Tree challenge!

If there is something in the Classy Cards 'n Such store that you can't find, please send an email to beverly@classycardsnsuch.com.

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...
