Pink Blossoms

Hi, Diane here with you today! I have a very summery card to show you!

I made my flowers first, using the newly released
PoppyStamps Velvet Blossom. I had a bit of surprise when I cut this die, as each petal cut separately, then you put the flower together petal by petal. I loved that, it made each flower much more real!

Once the petals were cut and embossed, I colored them with Susan's Gardens Pan Panstels Flower Coloring Kit,
using the Magenta color on pink card stock. The center of the flowers and the stems also cut separately.

I cut a Spellbinders Floral Oval from white card stock. I stenciled it using Memory Box Texture Tessatina stencil,
giving a nice, soft background look.

The butterflies were cut from Heavyweight Vellum twice, one for the bottom and one for the top. The bottom piece I did not emboss. Aren't they pretty? I think they make such a statement!

The background paper is from Wild Rose Studio, and I created a bow to finish.

A few things I pretty much use daily in the making of my cards are Scor-tapeLarge and Mini Cuttlehug adapter plates, Cheery Lynn Designs Crafters Tools.

Best Wishes

Hi, Diane with you today!

I have a rather large, but fun, Americana card to show you.

I used a Sue Wilson embossing folder for the background.I cut two PoppyStamps Small Madison Windows and two PoppyStamps Small Madison Shutters.

I hand cut the star curtains from Bo Bunny Anthem collection papers.

I decorated the windows, just in time for Memorial Day
with a wreath cut with Memory Box Starry Wreath. I cut it three times, using Pearlized Esse White Metallic for the base, So Silk Fair Blue and Stardream Jupiter for the randomly places stars. I just cut them apart, very easy. If you haven't tried any of these card stocks yet, give them a try, they are a wonderful heavier weight and beautiful!

The sentiment is a Spellbinders die. A tip for adhering your words. Cut a piece of Scor-tape double sided adhesive to fit your word, and place on the back of the paper you are using. Place your die on the paper side, (not the adhesive side), and cut. To make this even easier, I use daily either the Cuttlehug, Large shim or Mini Adapter Plate. To help get the paper with adhesive out of your die, another daily tool I can't live without are the Crafters Tools by Cheery Lynn Designs. These really come in handy with the more intricate and smaller dies like the word dies.

I finished my card with a pretty bow.

I'm a Little Teapot

Hello Classy Friends! Diane here today with my "I'm a little teapot" card for our challenge this week "Tea Party"!

I just love the pretty Spring colors of this card! It was a little bit of fussing around with it, but I think well worth the effort!!

Let me tell you how I made it. I started by adhering Double sided adhesive Scor-tape sheets to Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock before I die cut. I then placed my PoppyStamps Teapot Stack die on and ran it through my Cuttlebug a couple of times using the Cuttlehug Large Shim.  This gives you a nice sticky backing to adhere down to your card.

I embossed a panel using the  Darice Doily Lace embossing folder then adhered the teapot die cut to that.  Then I decided to get real creative, and picked out a few scrap pieces of paper, adhered them the same as I did the die cut, to the Scor-tape sheet and ran each color through my machine.  Using the Crafters Tools by Cheery Lynn Designs
I carefully picked each piece out and adhered it in it's place.   It was so easy using one of the picks from the set!

Lastly, I added some flowers.  If you saw one of my previous posts using the new Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Stamp set and Botanical Wings die set, you will remember I cut several extra flowers, thinking they would come in handy later.  Well, they certainly did!

I used five of the smaller flowers and using the Paper Blossom Tool Kit and Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat, I formed my flowers.  The flowers were colored with Susan's Garden PanPastels coloring kit, and finished off with Lavender Pearls.  The tiny Leaf Clusters are from Impression Obsession.

I encourage you to join in the challenge with us this week, we would love to have you!!

Easter Blessings

Hi, it's Misti with a card to share with you today. Can you believe it's time to be thinking about Easter cards? It just doesn't seem possible to me, this year is flying by so fast!

I used the stamp from the Easter Blessings stamp set by Our Daily Bread.  I colored it in with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Marker using the Detailed Water Brush. The flowers are white, so I used the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to give them a little dazzle.

Cut the Floral Ovals die by Spellbinders.  It took the largest one to get the whole image on there.  Don't forget to use the Cuttlehug to get into the intricate places!

Then I took a piece of green cardstock and used the Crafts Too! Scrollworks embossing folder. I put the Eggshell Seam Binding from the top to the bottom of the card. I attached the green cardstock to my white card base.

Then I added some White Baby Pearls to the image panel. Added a few pieces of Joy! Foam Pads to my image panel and attached it to the seam binding.  I made a bow with another piece of seam binding and attached it with a piece of foam.

I hope your Easter is a blessed one!

Your card is cute, clean and classy! Thanks Misti!
