Birthday Cuppa Love

Good Morning, it is Shirley posting today. I have a cute birthday card to share with you today. I have a lot of friends that are coffee and tea drinkers so this will be a great card to have on hand.

I started with a white card base and added a layer of pink and white.  The next layer is one that I made a while back when I was playing with my Ken Oliver Color Bursts.   I made them using different colors so now I have one ready for this card.  I like to make extras when I have the supplies out.  They really come in handy to help you make a quick card for an occasion you may have forgotten about.  The color bursts also are good to have for a card or project when you do not have the color of paper you need.  You just make your own.   For this background, I used the Memory Box Texture Drip Rings stencil along with Ken Oliver Color Bursts in Alazarin Crimson, Orange and just a little dab of the Ultramarine Blue, which made the hint of green on my card.

I used the PoppyStamps Teacup Stack die that just arrived from the Classy Cards store.  I put some pink and yellow card stock behind the cups.   I popped the cups up on the background with Joy Foam Pads Large

The sentiment was stamped using the Sweet n' Sassy stamps called Keep In Touch.  I like this set because it has almost every sentiment one needs in card making.

For the finishing touch, I added sequins and attached them with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.  I think the sequins just help to give the card a more festive look.

Thanks so much for coming by today.  Have a great weekend!

Silver Wreath

Hi!  Diana here with a very CAS Christmas card.

The Memory Box Loopy Loop wreath in silver foil (cut from the backside of any of the SB Precious Metals Craft Foil) was just too pretty to cover up. So I opted to really highlight it by making a square card with a thin red matting around the silver wreath.

I then added several flowers made using PoppyStamps Small Blooming Poinsettia dies, with the edges sponged with Seedless Preserves, and the center filled with Champagne Stickles.

I also added a few leaves from Memory Box Fresh Foliage where the edges were sponged with Distress Ink Pine Needles.

Finally, I added a spattering of White Baby Pearls. A very quick card if you make a bunch of the poinsettias beforehand - they are so easy to use for Christmas!

Autumn Dreams

Autumn and Fall are just around the corner, the leaves are changing and the temperatures are cooling.

Mindy here, with an inspirational card taken from the photos on our Challenge Calendar #101 Autumn Weddings.

I just received the Earth Colors from Ken Oliver Crafts, available now in the Classy Cards 'n Such online Store. I just love playing with all the wonderful colors, so I started combining colors that seemed like fall to me. I combined the SepiaTerre Verte, and Indigo on my watercolor paper for my background.

While it was drying, I die cut the Madison Park Bench by PoppyStamps. Along with the Bushel of ApplesSmall Leaf Set, and roses from the Wedding Cake die sets all from Impression Obsession. I used the small die cuts to form two small bouquets, tied to the park bench.

I also die cut the ODBD Pennant Swag, twice, and decorated with the tiny apples from IO. The banner was adhered with Joy! Large Foam Pads and decorated with tiny Pearls in the center of the bows.

There is still time to join our Classy Cards 'n Such challenge. Click on the Current Challenge tab on the right side of the blog for all the details. Come and join the fun!

Fall Floral

Hi Diane with you today! This week our challenge theme is #101 Autumn Wedding. All our challenges always have a beautiful inspiration photo in addition to the theme, making it so easy to participate.

For my card I chose not only the fall flowers, but the fall colors as well!

I started with an embossed base using Anna Griffin Cherry Blossoms embossing folder. I cut a Joy! Crafts Bille's Circle die from Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic card stock.

The Mum flowers are a Spellbinders Blooms Two. Little roses were added using Scallop Posie and Pinwheel Posie, both from Memory Box.

I filled in with PoppyStamps Gentle Leaf and LeCreme Pearls.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Birthday Bunny

Hi, Diane here today!

For our challenge this week, I chose to make a birthday card. It seems you can never have too many of those on hand!

I started my card by making a background of bricks, using Impression Obsession Distressed Brick Cover A Card stamp. I stamped it on brown card stock with white unicorn ink.

I die cut a PoppyStamps Leafy Sprig Border for the top of the card. However, being as this die runs lengthwise, I just trimmed off the top right edge to fit!

The flower pot was cut using Memory Box Fancy Potted Flower. I adhered my card stock to a piece of Scor-Tape 6 x 6 Double Sided Adhesive, before die cutting, making it easy to adhere to my card. I cut the die a second time, and paper pieced the positive pieces for the flower pot.

A small blue bow was added to the pot, and Baby Blue Rhinestones were added to the flowers.

The bunny was cut with a PoppyStamps Chocolate Bunny
with paper from the Faith collection by Authentique.

The sentiment was stamped on a stitched circle die, using a stamp from JustRite Hope and Love Vintage Label Eight and Nine stamp set.

Thank you for visiting. We would love for you to join in our challenge with us!
